Eli Woodard from Cornersville is one I can think of. He is a little undersized but who ever gets him will be getting a steal.

Unless Cornersville makes a coaching change they will continue to be at the bottom every year.

How good are these programs?

First I would like to say congratulations to Whitwell’s players they did everything they could to win the game, but to bad the play on the field did not determine the outcome of this game. Cornersville was called for 5 holding calls Whitwell had zero and I saw plenty.With that being said if Cornersville does on offense the second half what they did the last series of the game we are not having this discussion now and Cornersville is state champs. All we can do is learn from it and move on.

Some really good teams in 1A this season. Lake County has the easiest road to the final four who do you think the others will be?

I am referring to the way transfers are handled it is out of control. Players should not be eligible to play for a new team after they have played in games for another school unless it is a true move 25+ miles.

Woodard was only at 50% against Greenback in state championships game. Suffered a bad leg injury against Lake Co. and was not sure he would even play against Greenback. Hope to get the chance for you to see him at 100% this year.

Eli Woodard from Cornersville over 1400 yards rushing last year sharing carries with 2 other 1000 yard backs. This kid is worth the price of admission.

Alcoa and Maryville are not in Loudon County so don’t try to act like you don’t take players from out of County.

No disrespect but if they are that good why not go to Maryville or Alcoa. Bigger schools with more success more exposure for the next level. Have to love the open enrollment “public “ schools.

Has Breeden Gilbert transferred or is someone just stirring the pot ? If he is gone I like South Pitts chances he is a big part of Greenback offense and defense.

Eli Woodard he is playing Quarterback for us this year has close to 1400 yards rushing in 10 games. Missed 3 games due to injury.

Wayne Co. better not overlook Franklin Grace they are playing well right now.

Yes the bulldogs came out flat last night and that is a concern, but teams in the past it would have been game over. Instead of laying down they circled the wagons at halftime and played a lot better the second half. Adversity only makes you stronger when you overcome it. They will have to play 4 quarters when they go to Fayetteville in 2 weeks to stay in the top spot in the region. As for me I am proud of the way these young men fought back. GO DAWGS!!!

Great game by the Bulldogs. Lost a lot of respect for Huntland coaches last night. They had D J Taylor walk around the entire warmup in street clothes trying to trick the Bulldogs into thinking he was not playing. Then had him get dressed and come out for the coin toss without warming up. Well it backfired all this did was fire the Bulldogs up great job Huntland coaching staff. You guys need to realize the team is bigger then one guy.
