Some of the ones being interviewed would surprise you. I guarantee it. Do you want to bet me? I am Captain Guru and I approve this message.

The Commander is unsurprisable.  That's why he's The Commander.   He's been around long enough that nothing surprises him anymore.

I believe those Thursday games had more to do with the referee shortage

I agree the shortage of referees has led to more Thursday games but the last week of the regular season saw roughly 68 public school games on Thursday.  81 on Friday.

Looks like the games played Thursday were heavily 1-3-5A.   Mostly.  But, I didn't go thru with a fine toothed comb.

Traditionally playoffs start in November so I did not know if 1st round would be on 11/1 or 11/8. I do know that any classification can play on thursday or friday in the regular season so I don't know why you have the days set up like its the bluecross games.

Last year if I remember correctly,  the last week of the regular season 1A / 3A / 5A played Thursday games while 2/4/6A played Friday.  Maybe it helps the brain trust at the TSSAA to split the games so they can get a better handle on who makes the playoffs.

    Is this correct?

    What happened?

I'm thinking D.A. thought they had an opening then they didn't.

We are needing a 10th game.

It has now been posted on the TSSAA website.   "Bulletin Board" heading.

I think TSSAA has the wrong open dates for us.  (9/20, 10/11)

    We need 9/27 or 10/11.

    Hopefully we find something.

I don't know the rules and regulations that NFHS has on broadcasting. You would think they would want the whole game shown. The broadcasters could have run out of tape, time, space, had technical difficulties, or just didn't want to show their team getting beat. If it was any of the first, well, sometimes that's the breaks and there's really nothing to do. But if it was the last then that's just poor judgement, poor sportsmanship, poor broadcasting and a lack of integrity. I know that if we pulled the plug intentionally, it wouldn't go over well with the station owner and it wouldn't look good to fans - home or visiting. I don't like losing, but if you sign up to do something, then you have to take the bad with the

I'm not really sure what transpired,  but both of the streamed events, that Sale Creek published & are on the NFHS network for Feb 1 involving our games ends without the conclusion of both.

The Jr Varsity boys event is 1 hour 30 minutes plus.  Ends before the 4th period begins.

The Varsity boys event is 3 hours 3 minutes plus and ends with 27.8 seconds left.

Bear in mind there is more than 1 game on each event.

    Thought it strange.
