  1. Cheatham lost thier #1 vote in the polls this go around. I wonder if it is because waverly moved the ball on them?
  2. That's what I was thinking also. He almost seasoned that just right didn't he? He should have been a poet.
  3. I thought waverly a bit awestruct of the cubs. It took them a few possession to realize they were really in a game.
  4. the game tonight kept jumping in and out of tssaa clock managment mercy rules during the second half.
  5. I don't mean to sound unhappy. Just a bit of concern is all.
  6. Were you at the game? The radio commentator said something about a cheatham interception but the refs gave the ball to waverly just before the first score?
  7. Cheatham definately has some rough edges to smooth out on their pass defense. Such as giving a wide cusion to the wide outs.
  8. 45-14 cheatham. This half is expected to go very fast because (of course cheatham is going to run the ball but also) the refs were having trouble with the clock. 51-14 Cheatham. Now 52. End third with Waverly @ Cheatham 18. 2nd and long. 52-20 cheatham. Waverly kick failed. 9 min left. If you're gonna onside kick you have to recover it. Matt Brown in for cheatham. Cheatham substituting on offense. Starters still in on defense to take advantage of the passing nature of Waverly and preparing for playoffs. 1st and goal cheatham with 6 min. Remaining. 58-20 Cheatham. Conversion pending. 4min left. 60-20 now. Game ends on cheatham int. Waverly. Final 60-20.
  9. 8 min left in half (bump). 32-7 cheatham. Cheatham runs back kickoff after waverly score. Cheatham recovers muff kickoff reception. 38-7 try comming up. Now 39. Cheatham int. Waverly (again). 45-7 cheatham. Yet another missed xpnt. About a min remaining til half.
  10. 6-0 cheatham. TD missed xtra point. Waverly at negative yards. Waverly with no completions yet. 12-0 cheatham. 2 pnt conversion called back and failed 2nd time. PI gives waverly positive yards. Waverly into cheatham territory. Cheatham int. Waverly in the ezone. end 1st quarter. Cheatham long TD called back. 65 yard Halfback pass TD cheatham. 19-0. Cheatham pick 6. Waverly was moving the ball. 25-0 xpnt failed.
  11. Give him the benefit of the doubt. It was a preamble expressing the [apparentl] lopsidedness of the match-up.
  12. I thought I was going to get in more trouble for that. Thanx for clearing that up and not taking it personal.
  13. Rural means sparsely populated. Shelby is not rural. The subject line made it a point to indicate rural.
  14. What annoys me is people who aren't there for the game. 'And what about when' people talk as if the band is the main attraction. I can't understand people making a big deal out of the bands at half-time. Go to the consession go to the can... you don't have to sit through it. Sorry alma matter but I have to complain... a school that has only the one side of the bleechers.
  15. I should have been over it a long time ago. I think I have to look into the symptoms of post traumatic stress disorder. Anyway I'm gonna step back and if others wish to discuss it, so be it.
  16. Most molestation goes unreported because it is between family members. If she had not been pregnant this may never have seen the light of day. Without going into any detail I was a victim and that is why it has me so indignant.
  17. Well here is the thing... He, the detective, said it was consensual (rootword: consent) He must be some hayseed cop who doesn't know sex with a minor cannot be consensual. Minors can't consent. The consent from a minor resides with the parents (which is to say to enter into contracts or legal agreements for employment and other such legal bindings). And I apologize for being so adamant but the mis-statment of the crime begins a process of termination of jeopardy. The detective was trying to say that there was no violence (that does not mean there was no [perceived] threat). A 12 yo is face with an opposing numerical superiority (and probably a hormonal overload). It wouldn't surprise me if she turned out to be kin to one of the kids.
  18. It is automatically forceable. For them to claim it isn't forced is an instance of them being ignorant of the law (which I can't believe he, the 18 yo, actually didn't know it was a crime). A minor CANNOT give consent. That is why it is called statutory rape. The law recognizes it as force. After reading the article again, I'm surprised at the detective for announcing such a mitigation (not forcible).
  19. Why now am I seeing dickson projected 2 in quad 4 when I have seen them projected 1 in quad 3? I'm an old school cheatham homer so by definition I detest dickson but the projection I saw of them as a 1 in q3 I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I suppose those bye weeks play havoc with playoff projections still here is what I'm talking about... It isn't like this was a couple of weeks ago this was two days ago. http://franklinhomep...?viewStory=9708 ok. I see the subsequent post.... NEVER MIND.
  20. ...this could spell disaster for Mt. Pleasant. http://columbiadaily...rape-child.html Don't they almost have to kick the kids off the team?
  21. http://franklinhomep...?viewStory=9708 This is the source for my upcomming data. I didn't actually crunch the numbers; I eyeballed them. As it stands quad 4 and quad 1 are close in competitivness with quad 3 being next. If fairview goes to quad 4 that would make it clearly the toughest quad with quad 3 and 2 just about even as the easiest quads. I may have missed something so go easy as you object. And of course there is three weeks left in the season so things ARE going to change.
  22. On paper crockett vs westview seems pretty evenly matched. Milan dealt them both similar defeats. So you are saying if westview wins then fairview goes west? That would seem to impact the competitiveness of quad 3?
