  1. I do not care what you or anyone else says. Neither GCA or coach pays the refs (Knox County or whomever) to cheat for Grace. That is NOT something we have done or ever will do.
  2. I have remained quiet up until now given the fact GB played a much better game than I expected. It is utterly sickening to hear the whiners complain about the refs. Some fans have cried about the "fumble". It wasn't one. Some fans have cried about the ref's bad call. It wasn't one. We at GCA always hear about how horrible the ref's calls are when we play GB at home. I admit two years ago, there was a couple of calls I wish the ref had let go, but it did not affect the game at all. This year's sideline call was certainly untimely at best but it did not affect the game. GCA would have scored regardless. GCA does NOT pay refs to cheat. I can guarantee you that. I don't know what goes on in Loudon county but that is not the way GCA does business. Now, on to victory.
  3. This is the reason I predicted a blowout. GB's line cannot contain our d-line nor stop our o-line. Once we stop their running game, they will be forced to pass and this is definitely not going to work for them. I would have to believe we rush for well over 350 yards and hold GB to under 100. It may be close at halftime (14-3ish), but by the start of the fourth quarter the rout will be fully underway. Nice way to end the series. Larry
  4. As most have pointed out, the GCA-GB series has far more blowouts than close games. This one will follow suit. If one breaks it down position by position, GB just does not match up with GCA. Couple that with what the GB people (not from GCA) are saying about the coaching issues and it adds up to only one thing....a six or seven TD blowout. I ask the forum only one question. What has changed so much from last year to make one believe it will be any different?
  5. It is funny how Pridey makes a 40-0 prediction against one of our opponents, Midway, and then chastises another GCA fan who make similar predictions, 49-3, against another opponent. You then hear Pridey make judgments against another person by saying things he could know nothing about. If Pridey did actually go to GCA as he claims, I would have thought he would have learned that judging others is a cardinal sin. I stand behind my 49-3 prediction (anyone remember last year) but you may hear others state one thing on here and a COMPLETELY different thing in person to other GCA fans who are friends. The one thing you can be sure of with my posts. I will not tell you something I do not believe to be true. Given all the problems GB currently has, they are waiting for an opponent to pound them into submission by 6 or 7 touchdowns. GCA will be that opponent. A tiger doesn't change his stripes.
  6. Uh oh...............<crickets chirping>...............<looking down at ground shuffling feet>..............<uncomfortable silence>.................<owl hooting in the distance>....................<almost embarassed for the GB folks>.............. If that is true I would appreciate the opportunity to change my prediction. GCA - 49 GB - 3
  7. Ahhh...Greenback week. My favorite time of the year. You need to lay off your coach about the gameplan. (at least for one more week) If he has a number of good running backs, it is better to keep them all fresh by playing them all. A good idea would be to move all his sophomore, junior, and senior running backs to defensive line and play only the freshmen in the backfield. Not a slam post but if what you have posted on here is true, GCA wins by three touchdowns easy. If Harriman can run it down your throats, we will have some fun on the ground. We are much bigger, stronger, and faster than Harriman. By the way, if your OC is making such bad calls why doesn't your coach replace him? I don't hear anyone calling for the coach to do that.
  8. My favorite Magnum ending... GCA 31, SP 14
  9. The solution to low blocks is for the 275 pound lineman being blocked low to fall either with knees or elbows coming down first into the small of the low blockers back. Any part of the back will suffice, but the small of the back will "educate" the low blocker on how painful it is to low block someone. It will not take a full quarter for it to take effect. A couple of knees to the back and the low blocker will not continue with his antics. Trust me on this one. Big Mak has the Grace line ready for any dirty play which may come their way during the course of the seaon.
  10. Hey, Laughing-boy, I may have missed out on the mercy rule, but let us look at what I got DEAD-ON. I predicted two interceptions thrown. - GB threw TWO. I predicted two fumbles by their RB. - He had ONE. I predicted their kicker would miss an extra point. Missed their only ONE. My final prediction had GB scoring SIX points. GB scored SIX. Try to beat that, Laughing-boy. (Hopefully the word, "Laughing-boy" is not considered racially, personally, or profanely unacceptable to Butchie. I do not wish to create anymore angst in Glenn's life.)
  11. SP has more tradition and big game experience than GB. They are obviously way down this year from their typical championship form, but the game is at the pit so the crowd will help keep it closer than normal. Grace is a better team....period. If both teams bring their A-games, Grace wins by 10. I will predict Little Mak rushes for over 200 yards.
  12. I come back when it is a game of interest. Watch for SP to fall by 7-10 points. My guess is 31-21.
  13. You played us tough for three quarters Friday. Maybe it is just a matter of finding the right chemistry.
