  1. I do not care what you or anyone else says. Neither GCA or coach pays the refs (Knox County or whomever) to cheat for Grace. That is NOT something we have done or ever will do.
  2. I have remained quiet up until now given the fact GB played a much better game than I expected. It is utterly sickening to hear the whiners complain about the refs. Some fans have cried about the "fumble". It wasn't one. Some fans have cried about the ref's bad call. It wasn't one. We at GCA always hear about how horrible the ref's calls are when we play GB at home. I admit two years ago, there was a couple of calls I wish the ref had let go, but it did not affect the game at all. This year's sideline call was certainly untimely at best but it did not affect the game. GCA would have scored regardless. GCA does NOT pay refs to cheat. I can guarantee you that. I don't know what goes on in Loudon county but that is not the way GCA does business. Now, on to victory.
  3. This is the reason I predicted a blowout. GB's line cannot contain our d-line nor stop our o-line. Once we stop their running game, they will be forced to pass and this is definitely not going to work for them. I would have to believe we rush for well over 350 yards and hold GB to under 100. It may be close at halftime (14-3ish), but by the start of the fourth quarter the rout will be fully underway. Nice way to end the series. Larry
  4. As most have pointed out, the GCA-GB series has far more blowouts than close games. This one will follow suit. If one breaks it down position by position, GB just does not match up with GCA. Couple that with what the GB people (not from GCA) are saying about the coaching issues and it adds up to only one thing....a six or seven TD blowout. I ask the forum only one question. What has changed so much from last year to make one believe it will be any different?
  5. It is funny how Pridey makes a 40-0 prediction against one of our opponents, Midway, and then chastises another GCA fan who make similar predictions, 49-3, against another opponent. You then hear Pridey make judgments against another person by saying things he could know nothing about. If Pridey did actually go to GCA as he claims, I would have thought he would have learned that judging others is a cardinal sin. I stand behind my 49-3 prediction (anyone remember last year) but you may hear others state one thing on here and a COMPLETELY different thing in person to other GCA fans who are friends. The one thing you can be sure of with my posts. I will not tell you something I do not believe to be true. Given all the problems GB currently has, they are waiting for an opponent to pound them into submission by 6 or 7 touchdowns. GCA will be that opponent. A tiger doesn't change his stripes.
  6. Uh oh...............<crickets chirping>...............<looking down at ground shuffling feet>..............<uncomfortable silence>.................<owl hooting in the distance>....................<almost embarassed for the GB folks>.............. If that is true I would appreciate the opportunity to change my prediction. GCA - 49 GB - 3
  7. Ahhh...Greenback week. My favorite time of the year. You need to lay off your coach about the gameplan. (at least for one more week) If he has a number of good running backs, it is better to keep them all fresh by playing them all. A good idea would be to move all his sophomore, junior, and senior running backs to defensive line and play only the freshmen in the backfield. Not a slam post but if what you have posted on here is true, GCA wins by three touchdowns easy. If Harriman can run it down your throats, we will have some fun on the ground. We are much bigger, stronger, and faster than Harriman. By the way, if your OC is making such bad calls why doesn't your coach replace him? I don't hear anyone calling for the coach to do that.
  8. My favorite Magnum ending... GCA 31, SP 14
  9. The solution to low blocks is for the 275 pound lineman being blocked low to fall either with knees or elbows coming down first into the small of the low blockers back. Any part of the back will suffice, but the small of the back will "educate" the low blocker on how painful it is to low block someone. It will not take a full quarter for it to take effect. A couple of knees to the back and the low blocker will not continue with his antics. Trust me on this one. Big Mak has the Grace line ready for any dirty play which may come their way during the course of the seaon.
  10. Hey, Laughing-boy, I may have missed out on the mercy rule, but let us look at what I got DEAD-ON. I predicted two interceptions thrown. - GB threw TWO. I predicted two fumbles by their RB. - He had ONE. I predicted their kicker would miss an extra point. Missed their only ONE. My final prediction had GB scoring SIX points. GB scored SIX. Try to beat that, Laughing-boy. (Hopefully the word, "Laughing-boy" is not considered racially, personally, or profanely unacceptable to Butchie. I do not wish to create anymore angst in Glenn's life.)
  11. SP has more tradition and big game experience than GB. They are obviously way down this year from their typical championship form, but the game is at the pit so the crowd will help keep it closer than normal. Grace is a better team....period. If both teams bring their A-games, Grace wins by 10. I will predict Little Mak rushes for over 200 yards.
  12. I come back when it is a game of interest. Watch for SP to fall by 7-10 points. My guess is 31-21.
  13. You played us tough for three quarters Friday. Maybe it is just a matter of finding the right chemistry.
  14. Sadly Sadly, there are those in every aspect of life who feel the need to become "little dictators". A ref intentionally blowing a high school game for money, prejudice, anger, whatever is a hideous display of immaturity. We deserved to be on probation. We did our time. Now it is time to play the game on the field. Hopefully we will get our chance at the big time.
  15. Big and Little Mak are coming to the Pit. Get ready for a grind it out pounding by the good guys. It will resemble Boyd Buchanan all over again. It seems like every so often a 1A school rises up and thinks it can play with the BIG boys. Tighten your chinstraps SP. The Mak Attack is coming to town. (Hopefully this post will not offend the honor of Butchie and force him/her to issue another warning or heaven forbid a complete banning. I find it humorous how a non-profane, non-racial, non-personal post gets him/her panties in such a wad. Oh well, such is the power of one like Butchie. If it makes you feel better, ban away. Grace will ALWAYS find a way to win!!!)
  16. As I said earlier little Raven, I will be here long and strong. All you have ever said is, "Nevermore".
  17. When one team gets beat by THREE touchdowns, YES, that is getting punked!
  18. If I remember correctly, the team we just beat punked your butt in game one.
  19. Awesome game! My hat is off to GB. Their D was much better than expected. Please, I do not want to hear one word about the refs. We got some bad calls against us as well. GCA to the state! (Hopefully, we can leave the gutless sheep, Raven, Pride, etc. behind in Knoxville so they can pull for the band or the bake sale or whatever those limp noodles do. We need the real fans to follow us to the top.)
  20. I do not recall asking anyone to fight. Can you please show us where this occurred? Being a liar is NOT a Christian trait, Pride. You should know that. Tell you what. If GB wins tonight, I will forever ban myself from the forum. When GCA wins tonight, expect the 'nator long and strong for many years to come. If the few GCA "fans" on here who are obvious sheep do not like it, so be it. I have never apologized for my GCA passion and I will not start now. If you wish to be gutless about it, Pride, be my guest. It fits your personality.
  21. Please do not tell us you are a GB grad as well!!!? Boy....do we have a ton of intellectual work to do or WHAT! GCA 56 GB 6 (I had to remove an extra point for the kicker as she has not kicked in a big game before.)
  22. I just do not know where or how to start with you, Silverback, but here goes. I use the word, "Silverback" because your brain must have the same operating parameter limitations as a gorilla's. Let me take this VERY slowly for you as it is obvious you fully embraced your GB education. When something is within the corpuses of a subheading (in this case a paragraph regarding the wide receivers), the information contained therein refers to the subheading and not the overall presentation. In my example I referred to GB's 150 yard total in RECEIVING not total offensive yards. Do not feel badly about your ignorance. You were not given much of a chance by getting your diploma from GB. This does give me pause about my prediction. I did not factor in the level of intellect the GB players will bring to the game tonight. It will be worth at LEAST 14 more points for GCA. I do have a suggestion for you. Come sit on our side tonight. By just listening to our conversations, it is likely your IQ level will elevate beyond the single digits. Although you and your team will still get blown out, at least you will leave smarter than when you arrived.
  23. I am still compiling. Google is a great tool, but it creates a MOUNTAIN of data to sift through. One overriding point is GB seems to have difficulty winning big games. I am not going to use the word, "choker", but it seems to be a recurring theme with them. As evidenced by GCA's big wins last year, we do not have that trouble. A few teaser stats: Starting with GB QB - As a first year starter, we only have this year to use in any assessment. While his numbers look good, his early passing proficiency has declined greatly in the last two games. I see his numbers as: 7 - 19 - 115 yds - 1 TD - 2 Int. (I believe GB's running game will be stuffed forcing Ridge into passing mode much earlier than he would like. This accounts for the 2 picks (one of which will be a pick 6!). RB - This one was MUCH easier. #2 does NOT do well in big games. For whatever reason, his production drops precipitiously when facing above average defenses. I see him having a VERY frustrating night. I am not sure he is a gamer. 18 carries - 42 yds - 0 TD - 2 fumbles, 3 receptions - 37 yds. If you will note, he is prone to fumbling in pressure games. This one is as high as it gets. Look for him on the bench most of the 2nd half after Ridge goes to the air from a one back set. The other two running backs seem to do fairly well although nothing to set them apart from any other backup RB. WR - I will get back to you with the specifics on this one. GB is all over the board with them. One game #15 steps up and the next it is #23. It does not appear either is consistently very good. The tight end is an enigma. He will have a good game once in a blue moon, but for most part the TE is not used in the GB offense. I do not have a specific handle on their receptions and yards except to say total yardage will be less than 150 yds. Defensive report comes after I get back from Bible study.
