Yea I feel ya senator. I was like u the student athlete lol. But as long as I was there it was much respect to y'all program. Heck I actually witnessed the torches being passed in the city to u guys. 07 when we lost by 1 there a lot of us kinda saw the success coming that y'all having now. Because that yr was our 1st yr losing to a Memphis city school since 03 I believe! But good luck to u guys this yr. different result next yrs game lol

Lol how do we look at y'all??? And yea but lev our wrs never go to the huddle and afterwards look and scream at the qB asking for the play.. Yea success brings in the bigger crowds of guys who wanna play for u so I can see the ship in the right direction. And him going for it but sounds like hE knew we were outmatched but just decided to roll the dice! Wasn't there so can't fully know exactly the reason. But we do need more structure as far as comprehensive gameplay on utilizing out talents and hiding a few weaknesses. I think we're good to at least win 1 round this yr. honest opinion can't see us beating Henry or ridgeway

But the bright light out of all of this the majority of this team is coming back. Yea not much in mixing it up in offense if we running 6 plays with that no huddle crap. We run no huddle but we don't run the pace that's supposed to go with it . Got the pb&j (speed and athleticism) but no bread (solid gameplay or scheme enhancing what we have)

Yea penalties and turnovers come with a young team but we are getting better and better with those

Yea have no choice but to respect the haven!! But I do believe we will be the toughest challenge y'all face this regular season(knock on wood) yep we dot sustain drives but our big play ability could be the difference.. With our speed I think we can hit the short throws against u guys because pressing our wrs will fall into our advantage IMO.. Pat has to grow up fast in this game and go thru his progressions(my assement of his biggest weakness) if he can get a few in I see a shoot out! And yes the food is as good again the let them serve the outside food again.. The past few games have brought most of the fans back but us strong melrose faithful who sat an watched last yr was waiting on this moment!! Still not 100% sure on location of the game because we went there last yr so I assume we will be at home. But if we are on the road I like our chances even better to win than at home! And it's taming season for those tigers!!!!

Lol yea true about the fans thing.. Playing for them you will realize the fan base tends to become a little spoiled.. Like all big programs you know I caught a few games when I could last year it was just so hard to watch because when you are accustomed to being the top dog for years in the city and respected across the state heck even 10 win seasons aren't good enough you know lol.. But yep after rain comes the sunshine and hopefully for our sake and for high school football sake we can keep this ship in the right direction! We will throw all night just keep y'all's d line in check and we will have a shoot out

Yea. I think it will be a shootout. From what I have been hearing the strength of yall team is the run game and ours the pass. I figure whoever can make the adjustments and get the most balance will win this game. And Ac yep hope so those were some good games to watch and be apart of. I remember my sr yr when haven finally got over the hump and beat us by 1, then I knew this would be the beginning of the golden yrs for the Haven. Sberry has done a fine job with the program. I root for u guys every game except 1 of course. I think that sour taste from last yrs blowout (understatement) will motivate us to prevail! #Rise to the Occasion

Hey I just have to tip my hat off to the HC program.. The loudest fan base I have ever experienced in my life. I rembember thinking my senior yr coming to that big red house and even when we were up 20-0 yall fan base was still rocking. Here at Melrose I thought we would never hear a crowd louder than ours but I stood corrected!! (no disrespect to my home crowd) Its hard to get a feel on you guys because I honestly I felt (like many others in Memphis) than you were the big fish in a small pond out there. I think yall have switched coaches since my yrs (04-07) but the program is solid and consistent. If anyone can answer I was wondering what happened with those last 2 yrs when yall had Teague and Allen. I was sure after beating us yall were going state?

Good to be back on here!! New computer new Melrose team. I think this will be closer than what people think it will be, but if we are at home I think we can come up with the upset. I thought we were the home team because we went to the haven last yr but some schedules say we still are traveling to you guys then some say we are at home. I think the Kirby and Central games were good tune up games for us because the MAHS and BTW games made us very sloppy and complacent. The Haven depth will wear us down but I want to win this game and restore the tradition I watched and played for will let us get by, only if our QB doesnt get locked on to JJ(#2) the whole game. In pressure times he get locked on to him to much. We have the athletes all across the board to compete just have to put together 4 quarters against you guys! # Rise To The Occasion
