Omiyale committed to Vandy but it fell through. That's how he ended up a TTU. Evitts started his career there as a walk on and worked his way into being a great player(not to mention he was just a true football player). There were several others that went on to be signed as free agents in NFL while those guys were there that didn't make the cut. The major difference between FBS and FCS players is size. The speed is typically there. Lineman that run 5.1 forties play at both levels. The difference is FCS guys are usually 6'3" and FBS guys are usually 6'6". If there is a guy that is 6'6" at the FCS level he usually is too clumsy or too slow to play. That's why he was passed over by the bigger schools.

Here is what I understand... A 4.5 forty is a 4.5 forty. To say that you have all this 4.5 speed and then say "Well if it was laser timed then it would be a 4.7" is stupid. That is exactly my point. Any one that knows a thing about football and recruiting knows that 40 times get stretched all the time. I wouldn't claim to have a 4.5 forty unless I was pretty dang sure I ran a 4.5. Call it integrity, call it honesty, call it what ever you want but that's just me.

Watch the NFL combine and see how many of those guys actually run a 4.5 or better. Not many and very few ever beat 4.5. That number is thrown around a lot but it is a real achievement in my book if a guy actually is that fast. I would say most top 25 teams at the D1 level have 15 guys that run 4.5s but most D1 teams do not have 15.

If you are going to put quotes around words then you should quote correctly. I didn't say "the best" I said "#1". That's not a baseless claim, it is fact. 112 total points allowed makes White County the "#1" defense in the state. White County played 6 playoff teams this year and was 4-2 against those teams. 2 Of those games were shutouts. We won't shutout Cleveland but I do like our chances to compete..
