  1. Looks like the henchman in khaki shorts might be riding shotgun in that parked car.
  2. Agreed. TSSAA better be careful what they wish for, as I see a slew of attorneys lining up ready to bury TSSAA. No way Bowers and Wade miss that game. Between BA's legal fight and this deal, it could be the end of "Division II" real quick. The technology at Ensworth can probably allow them to call plays from the IPAD.
  3. I can see Ensworth succeeding from the union over this deal. Ricky and Co. will probably show up, coach the game, and then announce they are leaving TSSAA after they win the title. While I think Coach Bowers can be an egomaniac, I can agree he did not deserve this kind of treatment. Furthermore, I can't find anything on why Wade was ejected, and I can't find him anywhere on the video. All I can see is Ensworth assistants attempting to control the sideline, and I'm far from an Ensworth fan. Ensworth at the end of the day will benefit out of this deal. The more publicity for the E, the better, and I hope they stick it to TSSAA.
  4. Leather, you continue to coach where you can "build relationships"........It's fairly obvious that you didn't read my posts. Parents are a both a blessing and a curse in baseball and all high school athletics. They have an agenda. Most of the time, it is "hopefully, this will get little Billy more playing time"..........Some work really hard and don't expect anything, but most of them think if they bust their tail raising money that it will earn their child some stripes. If a coach is worried about what is being said on social media sites, we can agree to disagree. While you think it might be bush league, I believe it's bush league that a coach would threaten playing time, etc. against a player. It's the way of the time....unfortunately, this has trickled down to high school athletics.
  5. I see what you did there............. Yes. I have seen Farragut play. They act like morons as well.
  6. This is true. However, after sitting in the stands for a couple of MJ games, they do act like a bunch of nutjobs.
  7. MJ is going to be a three ring circus every year. The entire coaching change, search, etc. was a 3 ring circus. Carter just happened to be the guy that got the position. I'm sure after one year under the helm, he would probably admit that it was a huge mistake to leave his comfy Davidson gig to go to a juggernaut program like MJ where it's impossible to please anyone.
  8. LHS administration should also consider Rob Brown. Bet he would like to get back into coaching and in the same county.
  9. Looks like Coach Carter has "rallied the troops" so far in tournament time.
  10. Really? The Volleyball team says hello.
  11. Station Camp has really underachieved the last couple of seasons IMO. Yes, their district is difficult, but no reason they shouldn't be better than they are. Hurd gets the ball 30-40 times a game...... Malone should get it at least half of that.
  12. From what I've heard, Coach Mote was willing to keep most of current staff in place....One of the reasons he got the job. Let's be real here. Mote hit the lottery and is lucky to have this gig. He has coached over 100 games and has a losing record and around a .450 winning percentage. He really should have no say on anything and should feel priveledged to have an opportunity.
  13. This is true. Ridiculous what the high school football situation has come to for a man with his results. It's a travesty, really. For a man that has given his life to Goodpasture, it really is sad.
  14. Looks like the Blue Devils finally got a legitmate coach. Hope they let him do his thing........it certainly seems like he gets results. No excuses now for LHS.
  15. Football coach. Resigned. Basketball coach - they are better, but not all of the talent in the building is playing yet. Young team. Think McDowell is a good coach. Baseball - still bottom 3rd of the district. Have to compete with MJ and WC for talent in the county. Real young. Don't know if coaching is the issue, just lack of overall talent. with MYRA, nobody wants to coach there.
  16. Doyle............they already tried that when MYRA came in as principal. New principal, new building, new coaches.............same Lebanon.
  17. Hope Bradshaw sticks it to the Commanders.
  18. With all due respect to Coach Bowers.........it's not "Ricky's" offense. The offense over the last 3 seasons has been overseen and called by Paul Wade. They have basically stayed running the I - formation along with some power I built around strong OL play and a good tailback......running the ball with play action passes mixed in. Obviously having Corn was a tremendous advantage, but Wade is a great playcaller with great blocking schemes. Coach Bowers offense has centered around his personnel wherever he has been, but he handed over those duties off to Coach Wade. He has also done the same things on defense as well with Coach Rodriguez. While people on the outside look at Coach Bowers as stubborn and pompous, the last 3 seasons (which are all state championship seasons) he has been less involved from a scheming perspective than in years past. I have followed his career over the past 2 decades and while Coach Bowers is a great motivator and in game decision making coach, his best asset the last 3 seasons has let his coordinators "do what they do" best.
  19. McNeal ain't leaving FCS. He doesn't have to teach, he is the AD, and coaches football and baseball. And gets paid better than he would in the public school system to do it. Nobody wants to go to Lebanon because principal has no clue on athletics.
  20. This will be a great game. 7AAA has been about as even as its been in years. That being said, I like the Warriors.
  21. As a big FCS fan, looks like they are coming to Division II.
  22. Predictions: Division II-A - FRA and it's not even close - They underachieved and choked last year and should be hungry this year. But that's why you play the games. Division II-AA - Briarcrest and Ensworth would be the favorites. Briarcrest with Nichols will be solid. Ensworth's pressing style with Corn, Fleming, and a new crop of athletes will be tough for 32 minutes.
