What should we expect next year? I didn't get as familiar with this year's group as I normally do, so I know very little about who/what all we have coming back and what kind of talent is coming up through the pipeline. I know we're losing our stud RB to graduation, and best of luck to him, he has been a pleasure to watch. My question is, are better days ahead or are we in for more hard times? 1-9 was hard to stomach.

Good luck to Henry Co. I was impressed with yall when we scrimmaged in the pre season. How does this team compare to the one from a few years ago that won state?

This district seems like a toss-up right now. It'll be fun to keep up with over the course of the year for sure.

Hate to lose and it sucks being 0-3, but it was nice to see us battle against a very stout opponent.

It was a struggle for Dickson Co. tonight against Henry Co. We lost 4-1 and couldn't get much of anything going offensiviely. But I predict a lot of people are gonna struggle against HC's defense this year. Good size and very quick. Even still, we need to get a lot more physical if we want to compete in this district.

I know I'm way late to the party here, but you are incorrect. It was, in fact, 2-2 when the varsities for BOTH teams left the field.

I'm hoping we can take the district crown and make some noise in the region, but Kenwood is awfully tough. If they can get a few balls to bounce their way, they may just have a team capable of going to Murfreesboro. I also never sleep on Northeast. Henry Co. has also raised their game a notch down the stretch. I'm ready to get things tipped off.

I hate to see this rivalry come to an end. As somebody who was a part of it for four years, I know what it meant to both sides. To this topic, if HC is bringing back as much talent from last year as I've read in this thread, then they should be very good. I was impressed with your team last year when they came to our place and gave us our only loss of the regular season. Out physicaled us on both sides. I was very surprised when I heard that they lost in the first round. If you can find a quarterback who comes anywhere close to the one you had last year (#2 was a heckuva player), then HC should make a deep playoff run.

With us loosing so many seniors off last years 10-2 squad, how does everyone see us doing next year? We'll be in a new district and will have alot of new players who have to step up and become leaders.

There is some truth to this. We need to start scheduling a Rutherford County team or something for one of our non district games. The only consistently good opponent we face in our district is HC, and they're 5A. But it's hard to get a tough non district schedule together with only 2 open dates available, and one of those being Creek Wood (who I wouldn't mind dropping from the schedule altogether). But I still think this year's team is too good to suffer another early playoff exit.

Well after having a very promising first 8 or 9 games of the season, again, we got thumped by Henry County, again. My question is, does this Dickson County team have enough to go deep in the playoffs? We've been so fundamentally and physically sound on both sides of the ball all season. We have a stud running back in Otis Gerron and a very good senior signal caller in Luke Humphreys. Both lines have been consistently physical and we've won the vast majority of our games dominantly. Is it all just smoke and mirrors, or is this team going to take the next step this season? Seems like the Henry County game always kind of throws us off track in terms of whatever progress we make over the course of a season. I personally believe it would be a disappointment for this team to fall any sooner than the 3rd round. What are the thoughts from some of our fans? I know you're out there, don't be shy.
