And me thinks it's hard to really take anything you say seriously. I've read these boards long enough to remember when you were the biggest JC(S) homer in Madison County. Then your station switched to TCA and all of the sudden you bleed purple. What happens when they switch again?

I'm just a casul reader. I dont' have the luxury of sitting at work posting 700 times a day. Your explanation above is border line silly. No one is saying that one person beats a team, just that you take that player off and you don't win as much. Stop being so defensive, all I said was that comment would probably not go over well. And I was right. Nobody argued the concept of team work or whether 1 on 11 or 1 on 5 was a comparable argument.

I know you probably didn't mean any harm, but like we all do, we get caught up in our kids sports and sometime rub some people the wrong way. Maybe I came across a little sideways and if so, my apologies. My daughter graduated from TCA and my oldest son from USJ, so I'm about as neutral as you can be haha. In all honesty though man, and trust me, I'm not trying to start a message board war, I did not see anything that led me to draw the same conclusion you made point of earlier, that being that the better team lost. And not that it matters, I sat on the TCA side. That's where I heard a few comments and you have to know that anybody that reads this board knows who you are on here. I mean, it's not that hard man. It's all good, I'm just a little concerned about this season for you guys.

You're right, the story ended at TCA when Akin left. You guys rode him for 3 plus years and a great QB makes those around him better than they actually are. Welcome back to mediocrity. I'm searching hard to find 3 TCA wins on your schedule this year. You seem pretty respected on these boards, and that's fair I guess. But understand several people that know you don't understand your self appointed role of Knower of All Things TCA football and can't wait for you move on. Your subtle digs about your son's supporting cast are getting tired.

But I was there and basically your opinions of TCA being the better team with superior atheletes was not what I or any other neutral party saw. Blasting the same old tired opinion on a message board is not gonna make it any truer.

Akin is hands down one of the better QB's to come thru in quite a while. Who is he chasing in both categories, I'm too lazy to look it up?

Would love to see the Lions pull this one off, but this is EXTREMELY painfull to listen to. Is there another station carrying the game?
