Currently Alabama is 6 seperate classes for football and most other sports. For wrestling its 1A-4A together and a seperate one for 5A and 6A. Next year they are adding a 7A division so everything shifts up one. The 32 largest schools are 7A then the next 60 are 6A and the next 60 will fall 1A-5A. There really only needs to be one state wrestling division and one true champion. If it works for California it should work anywhere.

Trackwrestling shows them to be released on Tuesday at 7:01 am. Of course that's subject to change.

Shankles beat Mcclure 8-4 in the pool. Mcclure did beat Shankles at Bradley and was trailing 8-2 at the time Shankles was caught and pinned. Shankles did beat Navarro at Fandetti last year but they did not see each other at Bradley. I agree Murphy and Navarro were in the wrong pool.

Father Ryan won I believe. Not sure about second, Scottsboro was 3rd. Brandon Womack was MOW for upper weights, Soddys 126 I believe was lower weight MOW. Turbo lost in semis in a great match.

The individual tourney teams are listed on trackwrestling. There should be some good matchups both days.

Scottsboro finishing 2nd with 4 of their lineup wrestling varsity for the first time is pretty impressive.
