Barney it looks like neither of our teams are very interesting. I will sure be rooting for the Bears but they have to be underdog after mountaineers Beat SD. It always possible that we just dont know much at this point in the HS season, I mean last year people had Bears ranked highly in preseason and we see where that went. People who knew the team knew 5-5 was going to be best case. 3-7 is what happened so agian Im thinking we know more about everybody prob after 3-4 weeks. But since Im rooting for Bears i will predict Bears win 16-14 w 3 valesquez field goals and good D! GoBears!

Bears need to get back to throwing and catching and getting guys open but an injury at SR QB, has left them w a talented but raw FR. Prob limited playbook knowledge but thats a poor excuse at best. They have some good players on Bears team but no take over the game studs & the SC Coaching staff is barely a shell of those tough bears teams everybody expects to see. Heritage is 1 of the worst teams traditonaly in the area but seem to have improved w a solid head coach. Bears seem headed in opposite direction. The losses of Strength coach (now head coach at Northview), QB coach (west),Dcoordinator (Pigeon Forge) OL coach (retired), and Steve Brewer (career change) have proved very harmful to overall heath of the program. Also several players are either starting elsewhere or have quit the football program. After seeing the Heritage SD score the Bears may be looking at an 0-6 start for the first time ever to my knowledge. They should be tough to beat in the home opener so maybe they find a way to win.

Going to be a loooong year for both these teams. Poor coaching for the Bears and it starts in the off season. Baseball school that went .500 in baseball last season!?!? I sure hope the Vols are good or else I may need to take up basket weaving. This Coaching staff must take great pride in making the game miserable because guys are dropping like flys. The sevierville little league coaches are 2x better than these guys and you think im kidding but im not. WhoaBears!

Very young Bears squad heading into a 6A road game. They will likely get bullied in this game but the Bears have a solid wr core and a stud FR QB. Throw and catch it seems simple but if they can do just that they could hang close in this game. I see maybe 4-5 wins if things go well and this has to be 1 of them. What does Jeff have this year? Who yall got? Gobears!!

Good news in Bear land, new leadership in the front office so maybe that will help when and if they look for a new head football coach. They missed the boat due to the good ole boy system when they snubbed whitton from betsy. The showing against CC in the spring was the worst I have ever seen at SC and it starts at the top period. They have failed to replace 5 or 6 top notch coaches and it will show to the tune of about 2-8 this season. The talent is not at NVA (poor excuse) its just everywhere besides the SC football program.

NVA is not very good. I have no idea about Scott but if they think they can play with Alcoa they will cruise past NVA.

OR has the worst coach in the state. Throw ball to T 35+ times on go routes down sideline. Win gold ball. Any questions? Instead T will have 2 catches probably both scores a punt return for 6 and probably an int for 6. Cats lose by 10.

Unfortunatly it sounds like thats exactly who they are pulling for. Its too bad because I think region 2 is very beatable.

West played pretty good tonight. They have a chance at the semis for sure.

The Bears have this same mentallity tonight I think if crocket losses the Bears would be in playoffs no matter what else. Region 2 is weak so its anybody ballgame till the 4th round. Mowest is probably a slight favorite to get there at this point. I think the vikings will get the W.

Does anybody know the all time records between SC and MoWest?

MoWest always has some top notch talent but the Coaching seems to be lacking. MoEast may have better coaching in my opinion. This year MoWest should win on talent alone but I have thought that many times before in this series and the Bears just keep finding a way to win. GoBears!!

The road to the semi finals is not very tough if you are in region 1 or 2.

West knows all about CB. He picked them off a few times last year.

Bears will win this game if they can throw and catch. Also they need to win special teams battles. Tackle Mr Blevins and its a wrap. This is a playoff game for the Bears and I have a feeling they are going to play on. Its really all about the consistency of the QB and wr for the Bears. Im not a believer in MoWest vs SC the coaching is not even close and they have proven that about 10 years in a row. MoWest should win but they will find a way to give it away and Im telling you guys the Bears are getting better fast the question is will it be enough. I actually think the Bears could win a couple playoff games if they get in. Bears 24 Trojans 14 DaBears!!
