Yeah. In Jackson, JEA Cable will show three games and the FOX station will show the other three. I don't live in Jackson so I won't see the games carried by JEA.

RLH, Yes, I have seen the list of offenses in many articles and on TV. I'm not saying that those involved don't need to be punished it just seems to me that the things that are being said is way out of proportion to the crimes. Tar & Feather??? Run out of the state??? Horse whipping??? What is a suitable punishment that fits the crime? I live on the other end of the state but if the whole county is of the same mind as those here on CoachT, then where will the trial have to be held? I don't think you will be able to find an unbiased opinion anywhere around your area. The man I mentioned in my first post received two years probation. What will these guys get? Community service I say. Anyway, not trying to argue but giving an outsiders point of view.

Last year, at my school, we had an asst. coach charged and arrested for having sex with a high school girl. Today he pled guilty for that crime. THAT was something to angry about. Put what these coaches did in perspective. It really dosent' warrent all this hate. Just my opinion.

A NFL referee gets paid $149,000 for a part time job. A TSSAA referee gets $90 per game. Don't expect these guys to be NFL quality. And, until you have been on the field and called a game, give 'em a little leeway.

I have not hear an official answer to that question. I heard he is not going to play and then that he is. So the long and short of it is, I don't know. Guess we will find out Friday night.

Yes, Hickman is a very good team. We will need to be on top of our game just to make it close.

Hickman has a very good team and even with the unfortunate injury to one of their players, they are still a very good team. I met some of the Hickman parents and players last year and Hickman has a good team base. The players (I can't remember their names) were polite and respectful. I was also impressed with the high character of both the players and their parents. Quality is the word that comes to mind. I'm sure this game will be hard fought by both sides. I am equally sure that it will be fought with character.

Think your wrong on this one. I think this is the year we make it to the second round. Hickman is good but with the loss of their #1 player a door has been opened for us. As far as deserving to be in the playoffs I have to disagree with that also. We deserve it just as much as any other 4-6 team. Now if you are saying the system need to be changed, then I will aggree with that but to deserve or not just dosen't come into play. Everyone who made it deserves it just because of how the system is set up.

No, he is fine. Our former starting QB did leave the field. He is under observation for a possible concussion.

A post on another thread said that their best rusher and playmaker was out with an injury. I hate to hear that anyone is injured. I think this will be a close game.

It was South Gibson County that East Hickman out played last year. We were #1 seed last year and East Hickman was #8. This year we are seeded at #6 and will travel to meed #3 Hickman County. I don't know if it would be considered a upset if we win but I hope we do.

You almost got it right. It took until the 4th quarter but only because Dyersburg missed a PAT. I am really proud of our boys. Yeah, we got our butts whupped but it was by a VERY good team. #33 for Dyersburg is awesome. He is as strong as a bull and can twist like a tornado. I said I would be happy if we could get on the scoreboard. Well, we managed to get a touchdown so I am very happy. It was a strong, physical game and I was proud of the good sportsmanship shown on both sides. Congratulations to Dyersburg and to the SGC Hornets, hold you heads high. Y'all did good.

I kind of agree with you. But I'm not sure how it could be made better. If all the teams with five wins win their games tonight then there will only be 23 teams in 3A with six wins or more. This number could vary every year so how should that be addressed? I'm sure people who are more knowledgeable than be about football are looking at the whole playoff system.

You are correct, sorry about that. BUT, now that the focus is on JCM the talk sure got nasty. Maybe we should talk about something else!

alltime, SGC went to Martin on Sept. 6 to play Westview and they beat us 34-13. They play at the UTM stadium which has an artificial turf. My son said it was "weird" running on it. If you have to play there it might make a small difference. The Westview team was, and still is, good. They are on the larger size -- not huge but not little either. They ran the ball well. As best as I can remember, they had a little difficulty defending the pass. If JCM meets Westview they will have a fight on their hands. Not much info but it's the best I can recall.

Noah might have heard more, but from the few players I have spoken with they are focused on the upcoming game against Dyersburg. Get past that one and then look at who we will meet in the 1st round. For my part, I hope it is Westview. We have played them once this season and we lost that match but I think we can take them this time. This is only my opinon not that of the team.
