There is not a way to "QUOTE" the list from the link but all of the players from this list were not seniors.

I dont' believe they were ever ranked in the top 10 in the state this past season. A lot of teams start off well and then don't finish well. I looked up the article and I don't see any clear accusations, only vague accusations. Maybe someone can shed more light on this.

When was the last time you considered them dominant?

If a school is not full, or overcrowded, a previously out of zone student can transfer in. All TSSAA transfer rules still apply, so it would mainly concern students coming from middle school. At the present time, Mt Juliet Middle School and Mt Juliet High school are the only schools in the county that are "full" to my understanding. I am sure there could be a "sudden opening" if a gifted athlete applied to come to these schools. Just my opinion.

Looks like Wilson Central run ruled Franklin 10-0 in five innings to advance to the state tourney. Good luck to Wilson Central. Franklin had a good run but in my opinion was not the 2nd best team from your district.

Just throwing this out there. Does anyone think it is a bad thing for Lipscomb or UT to receive an at large berth to the NCAA tournament? The same could be done for high school softball under the right circumstances. I am sure the TSSAA would like the extra income, but it might be too much for high school pitchers if their coach does not properly utilize a pitching rotation.

And your district has a team that is 16-20 playing in the region tournament? I would think the state tournament would be about the best teams playing each other. A lot of "better" teams have been left out because of a bad game after a very successfull, district and non district, season. Can you say Halls Knoxville?

Your coach, if he is a good one, could be saving number 1 for tournament play. It's not about who has the most regular season wins, but which team is best prepared for tournament play. Some teams win a lot of regular season games and some teams win a lot of games at tournament time. Some can do both but they are few and far between.

Would possibly fall back to head to head matchup and then to runs allowed against each other, then to runs scored against each other if needed. Probably is specified in the bylaws of the district.

Cookeville is good, but I would not count my chickens before they hatch. Anything can happen, come tournament time. The goal should be to win the state, not the district.
