Loudon and Kingston just don't have the numbers or athletes they used to have. Both towns are both about the same size they were in the 70's. In the 70's Loudon and Kingston were about the same size as Maryville. Blount Co. and Knox CO. have really grown but Loudon and Kingston haven't. They are both smaller and lose good players to the privates it makes it hard for them to compete.

I heard it was Harig's to turn down too.

Why did Alcoa choose not to play Fulton this year? I don't buy they were afraid to play. Was there some other reason?

They will be ok because what they don't have they will just go out and recruit. All private schools should be put in their own division!!!

Loudon's AD said that Loudon athletics would save over 6000 dollars by leaving a region that included trips to Scott Co. and Stone Memorial.Not playing Alcoa is just a bonus I guess.LOL That doesn't sound much like Coach Harig making a gurantee like that.Especially with a team that just lost 17 seniors. Also I find it funny you say Loudon ran away from Alcoa but I notice Central didn't reschedule Alcoa.LOL

Painted bridge I was told by Loudon's AD that by changing regions Loudon's athletic program will save over 6000 dollars in travel expense.Not having to play Alcoa was just a bonus.LOL Insider Jacket for such an undisciplined and poorly coached team they beat Kingston pretty handily. To be honest Loudon is down this year and have had a bunch of injuries to deal with. They will be much better in the near future.

Interested to see how this one goes too Charlie. Loudon had more than a few players out.A couple of games they had 7 starters out. We'll see if it makes a difference tonight.

I know Loudon has all their injured players back now and they looked pretty good at East Ridge a week ago. PS: By rule if a player is ejected they are suspended for the next game.

Little closer than the score. If Loudon scores on there 1st possession in the 2nd half it would have been 25-25. After that it was all Seqouyah. Sequoyah has a very solid team.

I have watched them play several games. I know it's easy to blame the coaches but I don't think that's the problem.

Loudon has been decimated by injuries. They have like 6 or 7 starters out. Sequoyah looked good against LC and Loudon lost to LC

Loudon was up on Tellico 21-7 after two ten minute qtrs.Loudon only had 4 possessions in that small amount of time. They played jv and freshmen the rest of the time.
