You would think they don't like us for some reason.

Guess my big excuse for playing Oak Ridge is to visit Big Ed's.

When he gets where he is going I believe he will win more than loses. The problem with him is that he is one of those type coaches that believes in playing a couple of teams that is way in over their heads in order to get playoff ready. He had GCA playing Campbell County and Jefferson County out of 5A and 6A when they were only a 2A school in the same year. He also is a big risk taker against the percentages during a game. If you can pull them off it looks great but most of the times he don't.

Well the Mountaineers are averaging getting beat 10-48 every game. Will this be the week they break this trend or might Cummings unload all his frustrations out on the thirty man varsity team from Heritage and blow the scoreboard up.

I don't have any doubts that he will get Clinton turned around but there will also never be a dull moment just like last week so hold on and buckle up for the ride.

I think GQ made the schedule out before he left except the Oakland game and Derek signed that one up or only play nine games. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't ask another team to drop a game to play us or at least I wouldn't want to think so. I've always enjoyed playing Oak Ridge if it's a scrimmage or a regular game. I love to visit over there but I am very careful where I park the car when I do.

The only upset next Friday Night will be WB fans stomachs when they find out we have no grilled hamburgers and hot dogs. Be very thankful for what you have when you see how the other side has to live.

May the coach for Anderson County be looked on as a hero last night for pulling the starters. It reminded me of someone hitting another person's animal by accident with their car and picking it up and taking it to the vet and paying for it. Hat's off for not running the score up.

I really thought a few weeks ago WB had a chance last night but the game in Ooltewah a week before changed my mind 100% with all the lanebrain penalties. I know now this teams only chance left is the last game and Stone Memorial to this point is undefeated and could be when these two play. This is starting to remind me of watching the Titanic movie over and over and hoping for a different outcome in the end.

Catswild and froshpop I'm going to throw my 2 cents in here to help clear some things up. RW does know Derek very well and has known him since he was a little kid. She also knows GQ, and all the other coaches as well. She is no doubt the Red Rebels number one fan and follows all the other sports as well. If I need to know something asap I know I can text her and she will usually know. She has been great to let a bunch of us know if a game time has changed or a cancelation because Derek will let her know. He has a lot of respect for her and so did GQ and she can talk football with any man in town. I will always set near or look her up at practices, JV, Freshmen or any games because she is a great friend but also someone in the know. Just a few weeks ago me and her were setting on the top row at a freshman and JV game and Derek was running up to the press box in a hurry but stopped when he saw her and talked for a minute or two before he went on. Maryville is a very close knit family like Mayberry and win or lose I wouldn't change a thing about it. I also want to add that we have met a lot of the posters from Oak Ridge and I have enjoyed everyone I have met there and when I played for Maryville the Wildcats were the #### of the walk and they are a very fond part of my memory from my younger days growing up. Even to this day when I think of high school football powers I think of OR first because of getting the chance of seeing those championship years.

Prepare yourself everyone, You just thought the fair was over this past Sunday.

Not going to be surprised if this isn't the first game where a team scores in the 70's on Heritage.

The question here is which D-B team will show up tomorrow night. The team that will lose by 21 or the team that will lose by 42. At least the halftime will be good if that is the type thing your into. For me that's the time I go scrolling through Coach T looking at all the scores.

Well the other you ask me at the gas station what I thought and I told you go watch the Webb replay and that should tell you all that you need to know. The one thing that surprised me was most if not all the starters were in there real late in the game. What are there left to prove when it's 48-7. Seen more games in my lifetime like that where you lose the key player on either side and there goes the season.

I see a lot of the same with ex-Maryville Players kids going to the county schools. One of the biggest reasons I know so many kids on all the teams are from knowing the parents through work or their dad played at Maryville. The biggest difference I see today that I didn't in my time is all the parents that are to involved loudly. I'm not talking about the ones that help the program in anyway possible but the type that show up at practices running their mouth telling how it should be and on and on which is a coaches biggest nightmare and every group has one of them. When I played if a parent was there at practice something must of happened at home. Now those type show up at practice and make sure they tell the right gossipers what is on their minds and leave hoping the fire they set spreads to the coach.

Well this is one of the two games I said they will have to want it more but after watching last week this team doesn't know what that means. Jefferson County by 17

After last weekend I'm worried if we can beat Charlotte and go 3 and 9 like I predicted before the season.

Don't know anything about the situation you speak of. I just go to the games and watch them and what goes on inside the team isn't my business. If someone is mad and wanting to leave over playing time it wouldn't be the first time.

BC I used to get started in the mornings a couple of years ago at a little Exxon across from a big subdivision in Maryville on Sevierville Road and there were kids that came into the store from that city subdivision with their Heritage football stuff on all the time on their way to school. If WB is that close and the houses are in the city the same will happen there. There will be those kids that want to go where they can play. A new house isn't going to create a new football player unless the buyer for that home is from another area. Everyone in Blount County can go trade houses today with each other but it isn't going to change one player. The same goes if Alcoa did let a hundred new kids in that school today there will not be any new players. All the kids that are out for football today is all there will be. Mr. Bell is a very smart man and he knows that also. That extra 100 are going to be Pokemon Go players. Their as useless as T i T T i e s on a bullfrog.

When positions get crowded with good players that happens. They all want to play and if they can go somewhere else and help out it's a good thing.

From what I heard this morning Greenback worked the system a little bit this week.

BC what did I tell you earlier, I said the funny thing is that the county people are so stupid they still think Maryville has something to do with it. The kid that came to Maryville was a total surprise to me when it happened. I'm pretty sure there was something that happened on the bus tour to Lenior City that Friday Night that may have lead to that decision. Up in Smoke. The last time I went down Morganton Road I didn't notice any thing but homes being built on farmland. The only ones that were displaced from that were some racoons, possums and squirrels but no WB football players.
