  1. No disrespect intended but I want to know what everyone is seeing in Trousdale. They lost the bulk of their team and I think Creasy is a great coach. Did they get some transfers or something? I know they're always pretty good but I don't think they could beat NCS or JB. As far as Gordonsville goes I'll let you know August 21. This senior class is one of the weakest ones in recent memory. But the younger classes are pretty decent and Gordy should get back to normal in another year or two. I predict another .500 season. My small hope for optimism is the offense they were running in the spring and I believe Clemons is coaching the line again. It was looking good in the spring and it fits our style. But, Go Tigers and I'm ready for some football. 1.)NCS 2.)JB 3.)TC 4.)Gordonsville 5.)MTCS 6.)Monterey 7.)RBS 8.)Clay 9.)Pickett
  2. Good luck to both. In the game for a silver ball, Coalfield by 14+. Experience will be key in this game. Coalfield has been in a bunch of good playoff games the past couple of years. Monterey has only been in 1 because of a weak quad.
  3. gonna be a senior next year. Anywhere with the football in his hands
  4. It seems Carthage's Recruiting Coordinator has came to the south side of the river and plucked gville's best player. Dickerson has to be thrilled. Anyone care to comment?
  5. A question to think about to pass the time till game time: 2011 Wayne Co. team vs 2012 Gordonsville team. Both state champions but who wins? I know who I have my money on by two touchdowns.
  6. im sensing that feeling as well. Hopefully they didn't put anything in the water this morning because I sure hope we don't get embarrassed
  7. How's the atmosphere gonna be in Friday night? I'm a little spoiled in the department. I don't think it gets much better than a playoff game (when we are good) in Gordonsville. The South Pitt fans can attest to that.
  8. I think it's gonna be a high scoring game. I don't know if we'll stop WC more than two or three times. We do have a good passing game but everyone around here knows if you take Gordonsville's running game away you shut them down. #27 will be the one to get the 4-5 tough yards. Some Gville teams in the past could line up and see who was tougher but don't know if this team can do that. Hoping Wayne Co. is overlooking us real bad like we overlooked Fayetteville last year and got sent home early if that happens it will be interesting. And to comment on the nice facility topic I never really noticed. Although, we do have a well maintained field with new bleachers and a brand new indoor baseball/softball hitting facility. Can't wait for Friday night
  9. no I would keep an eye on this website http://www.dtc3.tv/sports they will either carry our game or the Dekalb county/Signal Mtn game. It's a fantastic broadcast for people that can't make it out
  10. gordonsville might have an online video stream but I don't know yet
  11. i hope the game isn't as boring. Were not as good as we have been in past years. But I still think we'll play hard. Just won't have the horses to get it done.
  12. This is a great matchup. The '11 and '12 State Champions meet in what I hear is a great venue. I'll go ahead and give the fine Wayne County folks a little breakdown of our team. We're extremely inconsistent, but I feel we will come ready to play this week because I feel these seniors care a lot. We run a mostly spread offense average o-line the QB has a cannon but doesn't have good accuracy. All of our offensive yards will come from either #27 or #2 27 is a strong running back that runs hard and 2 does a little bit of everything and is pretty fast. On defense we have a weak secondary but a pretty solid front 7. #5 at LB for will make just about every tackle unless double teamed. With that said, I'm fired up for Friday night it will be my first trip to Wayne Co. So I would welcome any food or driving advice. Go Tigers
  13. im gonna have to disagree with ya Mr. Ambassador I do think TC has too many players and will win but it's gonna be somewhat close. I still have them 2-3 TD's. No one gave Gville a remote chance in this game last year. But was only down by two points at halftime and two TD's at the end of the game. I look for the same this year.
  14. I actually want to take a minute and brag on Mr. Hunt. He is what high school footbal is all about. He is a terrific kid from a bad home life. Tore his ACL last year and busted his butt all offseason to have a great senior year only to tear it again against Carthage this year. He sat out the next game but was back in the starting lineup after that with a huge brace and a lot of heart. And I've heard story after story of him making all sorts of tackles on the scout team when we won the state championship two years ago. I am pretty pumped for the game tonight I think it's going to be a good one.
  15. I have no clue how this game will turn out. But I know it will be a lot closer than most predicting. I look for Taylor Hunt (#5) to have a big game tonight. I think he'll come out inspired after tearing his ACL the very first time against Hartsville last year. And I'm interested to see how Harper looks and how recovered he is. Go Tigers
  16. It shows how down these two teams are when no one has started a thread on the game and it's Sunday. But this one (shockingly) is for the district championship and bragging rights. I know we come into the game not too banged up. #5 is still playing with a Torn ACL. Is Harper back yet? How many players does TC have coming back? With that said I think Gville comes out and plays hard at home but don't have th horses in the barn to win. TC by 2 TD's
  17. no no I feel Coach Marshall should stay as long as he can go. But I think he is contemplating retirement. It's getting that age, no one wants to work forever.
  18. Good win tonight and I loved being proved wrong. And I hope everyone's lid is still intact
  19. I think it will be the exact opposite of last year. Last year, Watertown came out in the first half playing good football and Gville came out dead and couldn't get anything going. Then in the 2nd half Gville started handing the ball off to Cason every play and watertown had no answer. This year, Gordonsville comes out and plays well in the first half and is ahead. But then in the second half I think watertown will start handing it off to Turner every play and that will be the end of it.
  20. If H2O is smart they hand it off to their big back every play. I have them by two touchdowns. I'm down on my luck in Big Blue Land.
  21. not this week. Westy up 21-0 with 1:50 left in the 3rd quarter. Gordonsville has got some bad body language going on right now. It's about to get ugly.
