The truth is Coach Williams did resign. The other truth is that I am not her and do not know her specific reasons for resigning. To speak to any other reason would be repeating rumors which I will not do.

BBV, that is not an accurate statement at all. You have all done enough to villify the coach as it is. The Karns AD has it out for every single coach on staff and has managed to get rid of almost everyone.

Karns beat Clinton in 3 games in the finals.

I was able to watch the Oak Ridge freshman tonight. She is incredibly powerful. With some fine tuning and finesse she will make an outstanding player. Her instincts were spot on.

For the record, I never slammed Severs. She is an excellent player. I'm just saying we also have a great player in Wright who was voted as Offensive Player of the Year. I can like both at the same time and I do. Please do not put words in my mouth. I look forward to seeing what Clinton and AC brings to this tournament. I've seen some strong playing from them.

BigBlue, I have to tell you that I have seen the light. Our coaching is terrible. Bad decisions are made. Drama is started where there is none. Bad behavior is rewarded in some and punished harshly in others. I want the girls to go far, but I will be happy for the season to be over and hope for changes next year. As for the picture, the seniors should be there. Those are two of the hardest working girls I've ever seen.

I don't agree with Kbeaverfan about the coaching. However, it was the worst game I have seen Karns play since the season started. They were absolutely off their game. Unfortunately when it really mattered, the wrong hitters were consistently being set. Anderson County's true strength was in their serving and defense. The hitters were ok, but they had some great servers and a strong defense. If Karns had played like they did all season, it wouldn't have been a problem. For whatever reason, they fell apart for the first time this season.

ORCat you are delusional. I am going to stop posting on this board because of you. You jump on everything I say. All I have to say is check the stats. You are wrong. I'm off this sight. I joined to have objective discussions, not to be harassed by you. Like I said, Muncy was impressive with her natural athleticism, but she needs more coaching to get that power in control. I'm not sure what grade she is in, but she has incredible potential. She's not quite there yet.

I was able to watch Muncey tonight. She's a definite athlete but ineffective on the court. She consistently hits the ball out of bounds. Her hits were incredibly strong, but of 4 games against Karns. She had 5-8 kills. Karns played in a different league than Clinton. Clinton is solid, bet between the middle and two OHs from Karns they didn't have a chance.

Why is everyone so hung up on Severs? Yes, she's very good. However, you red to watch closely and how smart the Karns middle is. She outplays Severs almost every game.

Wright got hurt during warm up and was also running a fever. Before you count her out watch a few more games. I have no idea about the picture. Yes, you respect Big Blue because he disrespects his own team. This is my last interaction with you. You clearly do not know volleyball. BTW, Wright not Severs won MVP last year. Get your facts straight. They are both great. . I'm thrilled to have them both, but give credit where credit is due. Also? One of these girls was offered D1 money. Guess which one it wasn't?

Wow. That is too much negativity for me. If you are such a Karns fan, why not have some faith in the kids. There is genuine talent on that team. It just has to be harnessed correctly.

The coach at HVA would break anyone's spirit. That's sad. She was a great player.

The Oak Ridge vs Karns was answered tonight with the wins by Karns. I saw no stand outs on the OR team except for some solid servers. After 5 games of the worse officiating I've seen in all my year of volleyball Karns was able to beat OR, the refs, and the OR line judge that was obviously biased. Karns has 3 big hitters. Wright, Severs, and Grimm. This game should have never went to 5. OR was outclassed and outcoached. I think this team will take district with Wright and Severs leading the way.
