Was fun to see YAI playing mountain man football again tonight. Hard hitting with the fast defense and hard to find the ball offense. WELCOME BACK COACH!!!!! The boys seed to still be learning but this year should be more fun for players and fans alike.

There have been kids go from the north end of the county since lare 90's. I understand the kids wanting to play for a winning program would be a lot more fun I'm sure. Get ready there is another good group of 7 the and 8 the graders in the local system and they are heading south for high school.

Polls are done for a reason. Your team may be defending champs but they are not the number the number one team now. Sorry. This is just common sense. I'm sure in the poll in the beging of the year they are ranked first that's a respect thing but when the season start being 50-0 is what gets you to #1.

The year Philip was here you guys came to the Dragon pit. It was a great game triple ot. One of the best YAI/Smith County battles I remember.

York Institute has hired Derwin Wright

No Phillip replaced Wheaton before 91-92 season then it was john Debaker, Roy Stucker, then Derwin. He didn't get to York till late 90's he was an assistant under stucker. Phillip went 6-5 the only yr he was there

Philip was only there one yr 91-92. Wish he had stayed around he too like Derwin was a heck of a coach.

Fact adults were told numerous times of a problem. Fact they do nothing about it. Fact they put 15 y/o kids in situations adults should not be in. I am not pointing fingers. Throwing a punch is not the answer BUT every human has a breaking point. The proper channels had been addressed. PC knew this was a problem prior to this game. The officials had been told during this game. It's a bad situation all the way around, but to give on team all the punishment. I wouldn't be happy if it were the other way around. High school sports are for the kids not mom and dad to relive their youth.
