Better than it would've been if he was still HC. A lot of these issues for Columbia is from the era of stone. That is why it was such a late firing of him. They saw the program constantly going south and finally had to make a change. The coaches are working hard trying to turn things around. Look at all those injuries Columbia has, it was from a terrible off season. Stone is a good guy but his record as a head coach says a lot. He took over a Vance belew team that went to state. After that spiral downfall.

Giles isn't as good as the score showed. Watched the game and Columbia just busted too many plays. Giles defense still needs a lot of work. What was up with the on side kick late in the game and still passing late in the game? Game was over. Was Giles trying to make a statement? Giles is an improved team this year but not like you think by their score. Still third in their league I believe.

Who does Giles county scrimmage and when? Would like to get out and watch them

In my opinion I believe if a team decides to play up (maryville) then no one should drop down. If they are put in a certain classification then they should stay unless they want to play up. No team should be allowed to play down no matter what classification.

I have done my research on him. Just bc he has coached at all different levels doesn't qualify him to be "a darn good coach." He loses some games bc he never adjusts his def when someone has found something that is working against it. Key example is how page is taking advantage of his blitz all cover zero def. Everytime he does that page capitalizes

Dyersburg will take this game by two or more tds. Right now Dburg isn't close to what they were in 2013. They have a set of backs but not a qb like that year or even two te like that year. Plus 2013 def had many great playmakers and not that this years team has that many. Dburg will always have good players and some athletes but 2013 had them all with knowledge of the game as well

Their HC calls the defense and thinks he can stop everyone and rarely makes adjustments during the game.

Never said that Columbia was that good. They have a lot of work as well if they want to have a chance in their new district. If they can't protect or catch the ball then they will get pounded by some of their opponents. I'm not sure why Giles never really tested the secondary of Columbia. I hope both teams get better from this game bc if they don't it will be a long season.

Think it's funny how you say Columbia was terrible. Saw the game last night because I knew it was going to be a good one. If Columbia hadn't of had 5 turnovers and would've caught some of those short passes then that ball game wouldn't have been close. Columbia def dominated the game. The so called mastermind struggled. Columbia offense was more physical and would drive the field but had problems holding on to the football. Number 6 and 24 for Giles county are good players but 6 wasn't a factor on offense and I'm not sure why. He had a good game defensively. All in all Columbia was the more physical team and when the game went to ot I had no doubt it was going to go Columbia way. Great game to watch. P.s. If Columbia was terrible then Giles will be lucky to get 3 wins. Next time scrimmage and play jamboree games against competition.
