  1. So the football coaches at Station Camp and Wilson Central and Lebanon's basketball coach can't identify talent. Portland's and Gallatin's football coaches suck and Kyle Anderton is the mvp of 9AAA. When are you going to start putting on talent identification and coaching seminars? I am sure that in the 2-3 hours a week that you see these teams and players that you are much more knowledgeable than the coaches that are with them day in and day out. Please make another bet so that you will be off of the board for another month instead of spewing more ignorance.
  2. So McDowell isn't a good coach? Why can't the principal hire good coaches there?
  3. Blackman may not be classy, but they win and you can't argue with that. Nobody in 7 AAA has beaten them this year. They are also well coached, which is why they win.
  4. This will be one of the only times all year Siegel will play a team with the height and size to match up with Ramsey and Jones. I am expecting a great game and a great atmosphere. Roper carried Siegel in the first half along with Ramsey. Ridgeway is long and athletic. Niles dominated the final 5 minutes of the game against WC, but the shooter was the one that really broke Central's back by hitting some clutch shots throughout. Ridgeway is a great team and I have picked against the Stars time and time again. However, I am almost beginning to think that this is their year. Almost, Ridgeway is just too good. Roadrunners 67 Stars 58
  5. I was at the tourney last night and I saw Niles in person for the first time. WOW the descriptions are accurate. He does have the body of an NBA power forward as a junior in high school as was mentioned earlier. The edge has to go to Ridgeway going in, and I am a Middle Tennessean. Do the Roadrunners press full court or do they play full court man. I ask this because their defensive pressure was mentioned earlier. I think the key to this game will be how Ridgeway handles WC's 3/4 court zone trap and their half court zone defense. WC in an upset by 4.

  7. Well jumpmann, I am not a Dyersburg fan, just a neutral fan that was at the evening session of the tournament last night. I was simply making observations, not accusations. You need to chill out. So the Lady Trojans are not my girls as you stated and we will see how weak they are tonight. You are right fans do not have anything to do with winning games, I just expected Oakland to have more supporters there, and they better show up tonight because this will be their last opportunity to see the Lady Patriots play this year.
  8. Oakland fans, you better come out in full force tonight because Dyersburg had a HUGE following there last night and they were deafening. The Oakland- Wilson Central game was "quiet" compared to the Dyersburg-Greeneville game. Friday night in the 'Boro, Girls in the Final Four, I hope you have a big crowd there since the game is less than five miles from your school. If you don't, it will be an embarrassment. I am going with Dyersburg in this matchup. They have the size and athleticism to matchup with Asberry and Riddle. The Trojans guards can also match Oakland's quickness as well and they are a much deeper team than Oakland. All this being said I believe Oakland has the coaching edge. Dyersburg by 5.
  9. Oakland Students you better come out in full force tonight because Dyersburg had a HUGE student section there last night and they were deafening. The Oakland- Wilson Central game was "quiet" compared to the Dyersburg-Greeneville game. Friday night in the 'Boro, Girls in the Final Four, I hope you have a big crowd there since the game is less than five miles from your school. If you don't, it will be an embarrassment.
  10. I am undecided myself. That Ms. Dawbsitw, she is a hot one. I would do whatever she told me to.
  11. It's all over but the crying. Lady Bears in the Final Four.
  12. Just like the announcer said, She gets it on the block you can forget about it. She makes it look Too Easy. Lady Bears likely to move on. You going to see the second Wilson County girls' team tonight against Oakland dawbsitw?
  13. Alysha Clark, you can't stop her, you can only hope to contain her. 25 pts 10 boards with 3 minutes to go. She will not be denied.
  14. McFarlin is playing out of her mind. She is carrying them with Clark out.
  15. Wow, that was a great post. You are obviously an intelligent high school basketball fan. I really enjoy your insights. I would actually enjoy more of the reasoning behind why "WC will be lucky not to be down 25 at half." Have you even seen Wilson Central play this season? I would venture to say no due to the amount of ignorance your last post reaked of Sports Nation. Wilson Central may lose, but it will not be by 40, and I guarantee you they will not be down 25 at the half. They are a very athletic team and have the athletes to match up with Ridgeway. However, I do not think they have the scoring talent of Ridgeway. This game will be much closer than you think.
  16. Going through a team like Wilson Central is not an esay path.
  17. Who do the Raiders have besides Little? Please enlighten me Raider fans. How do you think Cleveland will match up with the Patriots. Cleveland is a very tough place to play.
  18. Cumby makes them go. He is a very solid player. He can knock it down from anywhere and he finishes well when he goes to the basket. However, there is no doubt in my mind that the Stars will be able to slow him down. Cumby does not have much help. CC has some physically strong post players inside, but they will not be able to match up with Ramsey and Jones height. Like I said earlier, unless CC plays stall ball, Siegel by double digits.
  19. I apologize, like I said I am a AAA guy, but I will credit and respect where it is due.
  20. I am also a AAA boys public school follower who was in attendance at the DII state final on Saturday. Brentwood Academy is the real deal. They left no real doubt in my mind and that was with Boone, probably their second best player, having a very sub-par game. I haven't seen any of the Memphis schools, but as far as middle and east Tennessee go, they are the best I have seen. Wright is a force to be reckoned with inside. His length and instincts are incredible. I was also extremely impressed with the mobility and agility of Michael Orr from Briarcrest. That big fella can play.
  21. Siegel wins this one big. Cumberland County has one player. The Stars will shut Cumby or whatever his name is down and go on to win by 20. If the Jets look to push the ball like they tend to do this one could get ugly. Look for Oden to bounce back with a big game to lead the Stars to the glass house where they will join the Patriots in the State Tournament.
  22. Who do you think will guard Little tonight Boyd or Dixon? It really does not matter. Coach King and the Patriots will shut him down and will return to Murfreesboro to join Siegel at Murphy Center next week in the State Tournament.
  23. I agree with you on that. It is definitely going to be a heck of a game. I will be really surprised if Oden doesn't have a solid performance tonight after his dismal one last night. He is too good of a player not to. The last time Oakland was beaten by a team four times in a single season was the 1999-2000 season when Lebanon beat them 4 times that year on their way to the State Tournament Final Four. If you beat the Oakland Patriots and Coach King four times in one year you have a heck of a team.
  24. Siegel's game last night against Lebanon was a war. It was a physical, up and down game which I give them a tremendous amount of credit for winning. Last night's game had a similar tempo to the 2nd game the two teams played which ended 91-88. Neither team shot the ball very well last night and the referees allowed more physical play, which is to be expected in the region semifinals. However, it was after Siegel's 91-88 win over Lebanon that they were upset later that week by Warren County. That being said, I think fatigue plays a role in this game tonight along with the stigma of Coach King. Oakland by 6.
  25. The feeling is mutual....We are embarrassed to call you an alumnus as well. Tonight's game should be a good one, how about we talk about it, instead of you trying to take yet another thread involving Lebanon off the topic at hand.
