Ripley takes down Haywood in district championship game by 5. 27-1

The radio stations around here only cover private schools and the newspaper proabably isn't allowed to show favortism. Not sure who else could cover them.

Final: SS 106 Forrest City 98 Barford leads SS with 36 pts, McNeal tosses in 30 and Hicks adds 25.

Last I heard it was going in to 2nd overtime tied at 89. SS had only 4 team fouls going in to first OT.

I think DHS was talking about the 06-07 team that only had three losses, and they were all to out of state teams. 07-08 was a bit of a drop off to the previous year and that's when Manassas handled them along with a few others.

That INT should seal the deal.

As much as I would like to agree with you on the 6A prediction... due to recent history in the semis it ain't happening. Especially in Maryville. The other two predictions I do agree on at least that they will win.

Will you have score updates throughout game for other area games? Such as Dyersburg v Trezavent and Adamsville v Eagleville

I have been reading this thread and it has been a good one. I really know nothing about Mitchell, but I have seen TCA a couple times. With this rain moving in for the game we know it will negate the passing game for the most part. What will this do to TCA running game with no pass to set it up? I know usually it is the run to set up the pass, but with Akin back there slinging it around the way he does I believe it is reverse. I could be way off on this. I could ask the same for Mitchell here. Let's hear the breakdown. I'm interested.

Best defense in the whole state? Debatable. I'm sure a couple teams out east have a thing or two to say about that. We'll say west Tennessee. That is a little more realistic. I have seen Trez play. There is no doubt that they are good. They will run the ball all night. I think they had about a 9 minute drive to open the 3rd qt. Impressive. The defense is very good also. Very aggressive LBs. Their tenacity more than makes up for the D line small size. For you to say that Trez will basically run away with this one is pretty funny. Dyersburg is better than you think. Playing at a very high level. Liberty scored twice last week and may have been atleast once more if it were not for that fumble right before half. Dyersburg offense is better. You should not take them as lightly as you are. Trez may win this but I think it will be closer than you are giving them credit for. Like I said before. Should be a heck of a game Friday in Memphis! Good luck to both teams.

Kwc. I will say this. Dyersburg did have 6-7 defensive starters out with injury for a good portion of the season. How much difference does that make? I would say pretty big. They are a completely different team right now. Friday will be a crazy good game to go watch. Unfortunately I will be working.

We will fnd out more in the coming weeks if the loss was a fluke or a sign of things to come. Congrats to UC. I look forward to seeing how y'all do this year.

They could be, but they bounced back and beat Westview by 59 Saturday. I am assuming the Chargers have quite a few still playing football though. I was as shocked as anyone when I was told they lost UC. Hopefully the loss made them realize that teams will not just lay down because of their name.
