  1. Fairley should win this game by at least 2 scores. Their running game is very good but their defense is their strong point. Fast, hungry, and disciplined. Their coach has done a great job building that program up in the short time he’s been there and the kids are buying in. Good luck to the bulldogs!
  2. No one mentioned the refs or penalties in this loss; but us mentioning how it hurt our chances to win by having our starting back and other starters unexpectedly miss the game while our back up fumbles 3 times in the first half and our run game is non existent is not making an excuse... it’s just stating the obvious facts that hurt us. I think any team facing those circumstances against one of the best teams in the state would agree that it hurts the chances of winning. We’re not putting the blame on anyone but ourselves so I just don’t get how you’re taking it as us making excuses. Every Whitehaven fan on here has basically stated in their own way that Germantown is a great team and we can’t beat great teams doing the things that we did in that game. I know folks expected/wanted us to lose but Germantown is very beatable. It just takes a lot more discipline, focus, and overall better effort than what we showed last night. We’re very capable of beating them. It just didn’t happen last night night for various reasons previously mentioned.
  3. I don’t think any of us are blinded by anything and I actually agree with everything that KWC has said but I also know that we didn’t bring our A game tonight. No where near it. Stating that we played like crap is not taking anything away from Germantown. They are as good as advertised. But I’ve seen us play way better than that this season. Germantown did have a part in it but we also were self destructing. We had several opportunities to close the gap and attempt a comeback and we squandered every single on of them with stupid mistakes and bad decisions. You may see it as excuses or whatever but our bar is set high. I’m not even disappointed in us losing; just the way that we played in the lost and the things I saw on the sidelines. But the true test now is putting this behind us and being able to play the type of ball that we know we’re capable of going forward in these playoffs... #blackandgoldlenseson
  4. After watching Germantown and Lausanne play us I would still give Lausanne the edge over Germantown if they were to play head up. Both teams are disciplined, well coached and athletic but from my eye test Lausanne is slightly better even tho Germantown had the bigger win over us. Germantown did what good teams do; capitalize on your opponents mistakes and we had a plethora of mistakes last night. It was just overall a lot of bad stuff going on last night for us on and off the field and on the sidelines and it showed on the scoreboard. We just gotta clean it up and fast or we might not make it past the first or second round let alone get a chance to redeem ourselves against GTown.
  5. It’s all good, we played bad and we lost. They executed and won. Congrats to Gtown.
  6. Coach sat a couple of players due to bad grades. They scored off of 4 fumbles, can’t turn the ball over like that and beat a good disciplined team. Starting running back and corner were two of the academic casualties, not sure about the others. Our running game was non existent. That bomb right before half and that 4 down playaction TD sealed it. We had our chances just didn’t happen.
  7. They were the better team tonight. We played like crap. Hats off to them.

  9. Everybody is talking bout our passing game which they should but I really think our running back is getting better and better as the season goes on. I missed the WS game last week but I was really impressed by him during that Central game. This is the perfect recipe for him to have a huge game since everybody is keying in on the pass. Our defense being healthy is gonna be huge.
  10. KWC it’s ironic that this is coming from Collierville who just opened a brand new multi million dollar school and are accepting some form of tuition from students who are outside of their school zone to pay to attend..
  11. 19 *REGULAR SEASON game win streak... but word on the street is we don’t have a chance. I’m glad we’re coming into this game healthy for the most part. I actually like us being underdogs in this one. Our defense has their work cut out and I hear GTown secondary is their strong point on defense which will be interesting against our newly found passing attack. We protect the ball and minimize penalties then the streak ends Friday and we get home field advantage in the playoffs
  12. Intriguing... I’m glad Bryson is rested and hopefully healthy for this playoff run. You’re absolutely right about penalties; especially playing at GTown.
  13. How did we look tonight? I wasn’t able to make it up there?

  18. The real season starts now; I’m ready for this game. I think from top to bottom this is the toughest region in the state this year. And I don’t think we’ll see a better team than NLR or a better player than Eric Gray again. We should be going into this game healthy, humbled, and hungry. The road to Cookeville begins Friday.
  19. It’s a reason why we scheduled one of the best teams in the state and one of the best in the nation back to back early in the season. We had opportunities in both games but fell short; no shame in losing either of them considering the circumstances. All those stars are due to the player’s talent but also our coaching staff putting extra emphasis on getting our players exposure and in position to excel on the next level. Using football as a tool to get free higher learning is a part of the program.
