OK, after one week any new predictions? For most teams it is still too early to move up or down. But, after seeing DA get beat bad by FRA and learning that Vetetoe is not playing for them this year I am dropping them to 7th. I am thinking that FA, NCS and TCA will be moving up and Columbia Academy moving down in the coming weeks. I would also not be surprised if DCA gets into the top 10 at some time this year. Looks like a good year for this Division as they showed rather well against some DI-AA competition.

Did not see Vetetoe on the roster. A sophomore named E. Kelly played QB.

I knew they lost the big three but had not heard about the QB not playing. He was really good as well.

Just read a recap of the game and MTCS had 6 turnovers (5 first half). One fumble in the endzone and another at the 3. WHH had 340 rushing yards and held Kamari to 54. Hard to win with those stats. Shout out to DCA on their first win. Good to get the monkey off your back early. Hope to see them when FCS comes to town.

This made me go see who they beat so bad but could only find they tied 0-0 against BYE. ? What have you seen with them? You have me curious.

That one surprised me as well. WHH has not been very good the last couple of years. unapproved website has the score as 42-13.

DA getting beat soundly by FRA is the biggest surprise to me. Averaged 50+ last year and only score 6. FRA was dominated by FCS in their jamboree. Not always a good gauge but the physical difference was obvious. Did DA have everyone?

Broken leg in jamboree with FRA. Word last Monday was out 6 weeks. Just wait and see now.

He had a lot of zip Friday night. He got hurt running and stiff armed a defender and the defender fell on his leg. It did not look like a play you would get hurt on but must of caught his leg just right. He would give TC fits with that cannon and FCS has multiple good receivers.

The word Monday was 6 weeks. Too bad as this was going to be a great game. FCS will struggle to score if they can't throw.

Seagraves is a senior so you get him one more time. Hayslip started last night at QB and did hurt his leg but the TC transfer looked good as well. Do not know the status of Hayslip. FCS will be the same team you saw last year. 15 returning starters including 9 seniors. They have added a new "speedy" Foutch. He want be a factor this year but in two years watch out. They dominated FRA last night for what a jamboree is worth. FRA had two drives of three and out for about 12 yards. The third string did score on the last play of the game. FCS had three drives and scored twice. Once with each QB. They controlled both lines and ran and passed equally well. FCS is the best team on your schedule. It helps playing them first game as once the QB's get some experience they will be a tough out. Good to see these schools still playing each other as it helps both programs be better. Just hope for an injury free game since it does not matter in the big picture for either program.

My 17 old daughter told me the TC kid was the QB. She also said he is a sophomore, short and a jerk. So that is the official scouting report I have. I was surprised as I thought Hayslip would move to QB this year. He is a great athlete and Alabama baseball commit. RTD, yes he scored last year. Went up and over the DB.

Playerscoach, DCA was really down last year so I do expect them to start bouncing back up as they are a good program. I would not be surprised if they beat MJCS but don't think they will improve enough to take MTCS. Even though it was close last year. You never know. Looking at their schedule I think 4 wins this year.

The last two years there has been a clear cut favorite in this division with FCS and DA. I think this year anyone of the top five could step up and win gold. Here is my best guess, let me hear your take. Please provide any insight on your favorite team. The numbers are returning starters and offense/defense. 1- FCS 15 7/8 - Need to replace the QB position, should be solid everywhere else. 2 - USJ 17 9/8 - Last two years playing tougher competition should have them ready. Have the most returners as well. 3 - DA 16 8/8 - Returning most of last years team. The three they lost were BIG. 4 - CA 10 5/5 - Tough hard nose team. Need to replace several starters. CA = Columbia Academy not Clarksville Academy. 5 - FA 15 8/7 - Good run last year and returning a lot. Best QB in this division. Could be the dark horse. 6 - NCS 11 4/7 - Good transfers came in last year but several holes to fill. 7 - MTCS 12 6/6 - Best running back in division. Can they test FCS this year? 8 - TCA 8 4/4 - Lots of starters to replace and I hear low player numbers. Speedster gets them this high. 9 - TR 12 6/6 - Have showed improvement the last few years. Don't know much about them. 10 - MJCS 13 6/7 - Lost their best two players. I think they will take a step back this year.

Most teams in this division field upper 30 to lower 40 players and most play both ways. How does that compare to TCA? Congrats on the kid winning the 100 and 200 meters. Speed kills, so good news for TCA.

Friendship will be down this year compared to the last two. In fact most of the normal top teams in this division are down. This is a perfect year for one of the new schools like TCA, USJ or CA to take the gold. I also see NCS being better as well.

You are right I cannot read. I thought your post were the two Reneg8d1 posted. Friendship and Fayette Academy are the only two teams, maybe MTCS, that would have a chance against DA in the division. After the second half of the Goodpasture game I would take FC out of the picture as they cannot run or stop the run up the middle. Will know more about FA chances as they play DA in the regular season. Looks like it is DA's gold ball to lose.

I agree with you WildcatCrazies. DA has the two best players returning. If they have enough support they will be a tough out. FCS has some holes to fill on D so may have a slow start but should be solid by playoff time. They will be fine on offense with 2 and 8 back. Will miss Speedy but I think #24 Robinson will step in nicely this year. They still have some meat upfront. MTCS will be good as well. I am thinking DA and FCS in Cookeville. It want take long for DCA to be back in the running. The one thing you never know is what school may have some transfers that will make an impact or injuries. Should be fun.

It is still a very good school with great teachers, students and vision. I just think the demographics of that area have changed and make it hard to compete.

Seeing Murphy pick against FC is music to my ears. He picked against FC in the 2011 and 2012 Championship games. In fact I don't think he has ever picked FC to win a game. How someone that claims to know high school football could have picked against that 2012 team is NUTS! It will be a battle for both teams Friday.

I think both defenses will have trouble in this game. I see both teams putting up 30+. The DA defense against NCS had some really poor tackling. Looked like some of those kids did not want to stick their heads in there. A lot of arm tackling.
