Easy Passive, every team is just a paper version until the season starts. And I've only seen Cleveland once, but they were a well coached, impressive team.

All athletes should lift weights because it makes you a better athlete. Even golfers and tennis players should... It's 2014.

I only started reading the thread because one of the Owl coaches was mentioned as a possibility. FWIW I know he'd be a dandy. I'm with you about expectations; apparently y'all don't lack for athletes or support.

Haha I read pretty well. It implies arrogance to say that you are unimpressed with a panel, unless you present your own credentials. Let me restate the question: other than a fan, what are you to the Central community? Alum? Booster Club member? School employ? I'm not here to spar with anyone, just getting to know other schools in the area outside of 5AAA.

What's your relationship to Central? In other words, why should they care if you're impressed or not?

Coach Akins was the offensive coordinator for the Owls last year and I believe he won OC of the Year for the conference for this past season. I only have this year to draw from, but I can say he did an excellent job of mixing in the screen game with the deep ball and executing a solid game plan that seemed to develop as each game unfolded. I don't see how a school wouldn't want what he seems to bring to the table.

As an Ooltewah fan, I'd hate to see our assistant leave, but he'd be a heck of a pick up for Central.
