I offered my thoughts. I was there. I noticed the defensive player not on the field and was encouraged by it. Owls building depth and learning not to rely on him. Who are you talking about not playing offense?

Even scrimmage. Both teams played hard, but usual mistakes you'd expect from the 1st week of pads. No injuries that I could tell. A whole lot of players repped; it looked like both teams were more interested in evaluating their players than "winning".

Rule of thumb: if you don't show coaches you can do it Sunday-Thursday, how can they trust you to do it on Fridays?

Struggled last year with that, but I think they'll be much better. The center is good at what he's asked to do. No more, no less.

Haha that's good, CBRF. Personally I believe you have to dethrone the king before taking his crown. 1. Cleveland 2. Ooltewah 3. East Hamilton 4. Bradley (tie) 4. McMinn (tie) 6. Soddy 7. Walker Valley Ooltewah has the team to knock off Cleveland, but will they be healthy enough to do it. Depth will be key for this race and all teams seem very young in key spots. I've been reading so much muck on here that I hope it's not lost on everyone how lucky we are to have teams, coaches, and players worth being passionate about. Not many conferences can claim the same. Cheers to football season, folks.

Facts are facts so I can't argue with that. I think the unit will be much improved, which should make them a very formidable opponent to anyone.

How'd Cleveland look at the Ooltewah 7 on 7 yesterday? Did they play?

It seems that most top teams in Hamilton County have players from 'different' areas. Maybe your new coach should try that approach.

They certainly weren't at the Ooltewah 7 on 7 that I went to.
