  1. Great game. Congrats Centennial. I had the score correct but the wrong winner. I was however correct about Franklin being outclassed in the speed department. It's a shame that Franklin couldn't pull this one out. They seemed to control the ball better but struggled on special teams and couldn't cover when it counted.
  2. This should be a good one. Franklin will pound the run game and slow things down on offense. On defense they can stop the inside run but are weak on the edge and in the secondary with very little speed. Centennial will have a huge speed advantage with good size that should compete well with the big line from Franklin. Although Centennial has a new unproven HC they should still come in with a little swagger having won the last two in the rivalry series including last years blow out at home. All that to say I am going with the Rebels at home in a slug fest. 28-24.
  3. Hillsboro may be undisciplined but they are athletic enough to stay in this one. Indy will take it but not by 35 as you predict. I say it's the first real test for the Eagles in the playoffs.
  4. Tough second round game. I'll take Hillsboro but either team can win this one.
  5. I've seen both of these teams play this year and Page will take this one big. Giles looks better lately but still a shadow of what they were a few years ago when they were contending for and winning state.
  6. Coach Crawford will have the Bruins ready for this one. BW by 10.
  7. Indy wins this one big. A solid D and way too much offense for Franklin County to contain.
  8. Don't know much about Mt. J this season but they have a nice win streak coming into this one. Franklin looks much better than they did early in the season but suspect the weak schedule has a lot to do with it. Neither of these teams look to go very deep in the playoffs but both have good coaches and teams that will fight hard for them. Flip a coin on this one for the winner but I'm pulling for the rebels from Wilco.
  9. For years Franklin vs Brentwood has been a huge game with 5-7,000 in attendance and a region championship on the line. Now it is just two weak teams from Wilco playing pat-a-cake. Who's winning this one? I'll take Coach Crawford and Brentwood with a little momentum from last week.
  10. Does anyone on here actually want to talk about the game that this thread was started about? Franklin looks seriously out matched in spite of the lack of depth that the Riverdale faithful is complaining about.
  11. Yes Franklin High is Grassland High. They don't complain about the number of students as it is one of the largest schools in the state. The zoning argument has always been centered around the lack of diversity with the new zone which seems to have a direct impact on the quality of the athletes at FHS. More specifically African American athletes. The oldest school in the county is now the least diverse school in the county with less than 2% minority students. I'm sure it is just a coincidence that their mascot is a REBEL!
  12. Well Franklin may be small but their slow. Not exactly a winning combination. I resend my 7-3 prediction from last week. This team is 5-5 regular season at best. If they squeak into the playoffs they will have their first loosing season in decades. Their argument about the zoning issue for years seems to have finally proven true. Hey, maybe they can win the GPA bowl this year
  13. Indy has a solid O but their D is suspect. CHS looked good against Franklin but Franklin looked terrible on both sides of the ball so that is no indication of how good CHS is. Ultimately I think Indy's O will be able to outscore an undisciplined CHS. Prediction: 35-21 Indy
  14. They are young, a bit undersized, and lack real speed but they have a favorable schedule after week five and good coaching. If they squeak out a win or two early they will have another solid finish. My prediction: 7-3 but they will get bounced in the first or second round of the playoffs.
  15. Unfortunately for Coach Rector and the Cougars CHS will end their season this Friday night. The Raptors are talented, well coached, and are playing as a complete team. Ravenwood win this one 28-17
  16. Well it looks like turnovers lost it for Franklin. Congrats to the Rebels on a good season. Good Luck to Coach Rector and the Cougars vs Hendersonville.
  17. Does Franklin have enough magic left or has their luck run out? They are the more complete team but Mr. Sanders has taken over games before. He will have to do it again if CHS is going to pull it out at FHS. I'll go with Franklin 31-21.
  18. I would love to see Indy pull this one out but they choked against Blackman and Franklin so I'm not confident they won't do it again. I have to go with Hendersonville 35-28.
  19. It's been a while since Williamson represented well against Rutherford. Any changes this year?
  20. Both well coached teams with slightly above average talent for the Wilco publics. This one could go either way. The winner will be the team that makes the best halftime adjustments and minimizes turnovers. Franklin 31-28.
  21. They've beat the weak teams on their schedule and they have a strong record so far but getting another win will be tough. Can they beat Ravenwood? No. Centennial? Doubt it. Indy? Possibly.
  22. What's with Franklin giving up 31 to a metro school? Nothing against McGavock but if FHS can't stop them good luck with RHS, Indy, and CHS. Looking like fourth place in the region this season. Lucky they have a few cupcakes in the region to help their record but they will struggle to make the playoffs unless they can find some D.
  23. Being a Williamson County guy I want to pull for Ravenwood but I think their season will end tonight. Too much team speed on the other side of the ball.
  24. This will be an exciting game and could go either way. Overton has this one on paper but I am going with Indy's playmakers and their team peaking at the right time. 35-27 Indy
