What I have read (again what I have read from someone on that side of the field prior to exit) McMinn player had tested positive , he rode the Bus - he did not ride the Bus , he hasn't been with team since WED ( if that's the case and since WED , then yes McMinn should be on quarantine ) .... This is from someone who works McMinn side of field and over heard discussions

Based on what I'm reading from players Parents .. DB season could be over if Sullivan Health Dept. Called the game and it turns out that Mcminn had Know idea of a positive player ?? Doesn't make sense ! But if indeed a player tests negative(Mcminn) and Sullivan called the game , Then Mcminn advances ... Weird year

I do have one ? It's not to related to this , but has anyone seen the QB from Robinson play ? He is a Beast , looks to be already close to 6ft and people are already raving about him and this Robinson team

Doubt that ... All 3 have athletes and less will be transferring to DB because of this school !

I read today that estimates were 1450 students .....Now they are saying add possibly 500-600 students to that # .. So they will stay 5a ? I see that the schedule was released and they will meet up with DB next year (out of conference ) .. Being a South graduate but a DB fan (all my life ) , I'm kinda excited to see what they can do in the coming years .. A lot of good athletes in the 3 county schools over the years (especially North and South , but Central does produce some athletes ) I will be at their first Home Game just to support the players that have been forced to come together !

One of the "other" best coaches , to not continue coaching in Kingsport is B. Church (one of the best D backs coach out there ) - Just don't think Clark and Him ever jived on the field (my opinion )

Exactly ! Shows cancelled on schedule per State guidelines . If Covid was a factor , Covid loss / Win would be listed ! The safety precautions were taken , guidelines met , Play Ball .... That Simple !!

Kingsport DB needs to figure out field goal kicking before they can even think to make it through the tough games ....

DB needs to get this kicker some practice or walk through the hallways grabbing soccer players , geez ! Won't make it in the playoffs without a good field goal kicker ! Hope he gets better !!

We can credit that to a D1 player turned coach , that played on that great 2012 team ... He has done great work at DB

No excuses , it's something that has haunted DB for years (Penalties) ... But they overcame and the D stepped up yet again ! The only excuse I could use is riding 100 miles in a bus , with no AC , and the windows will not slide down on those busses - had to be awful ... These kids are used to AC compared to the olden days !

Yes the coaching staff has been found ....That is until this New school opens (North Ridge Wolves ) south , north , central high schools ... I'd say possibly 2 could go on DBs current staff

325 - 130 total yards , DB with 90 in penalties (gotta clean those up ) DB is still without one of their best (Armitage )- sounds like he will be back next week

I ran into into a couple DBs players in the spring , QB being one of them . They were thrilled about this team and basically said they have the athletes and size to play/ beat anyone and wasn't worried about replacments/positions of any one player (4) that graduated He said the coaches have them believing and they love this staff I also talked with a 9th grader camping this weekend ... A big baseball player but after talking with football staff , he is all in for football and says he loves Christian and position coach - before the talk he was baseball only

Biggest and Best team DB has had since 2014 ... Returning most .

DB is stacked ... Lost very few players ! This year DB has a team similar in size and talent as they did in 2014, but with better coaching ... I ran into DBs QB and he is excited about this team and what they possibly can do this year (QB is great - the line is stacked - RBs are great - WR - are great ) .. we also have a great Defensive backs coach (which is where DB has made mistakes in the past years , over and over again , every season )

Just read that DB could be getting a highly recruited running back out of Clintwood VA due to VA not playing until late/ at all ! Florida , Penn State , TN and many other schools hot on his trail

The School is still on its way to being finished .I was out that way about two weeks ago and it looks like all the walls and roof is up ... Looks as if the inside is being started / completed ( haven't heard much on how far along they are ) ..outside is still dirt Be exciting to see how well the sports do after year 2 . North and South always produce good players and every so many years have great teams ( get the kids playing together and they could have some great teams )

Yeah .... They must not follow DB like many do ! I have more confidence this year than I did in 2014 ..this team is stacked with only 4 starters gone , heck of a QB and two great running backs and plenty of great lineman - that is if we get to see Football this fall !
