Such great news! Having a husband who battled a stint in the hospital from COVID last year, my thoughts and prayers are with his wife and family!

Yes, I think that kid graduated. I will wave from the stands Friday night! LOL! And don't get me wrong, I am as bad as ANY some games, but I am not going to call out other peoples kids, unless I have their permission! LOL

Agreed. I usually just choose to stop reading when someone calls out kids - in a negative way. We have a "fan" at our games who is constantly calling out kids, while in the stands. My skin has hardened to him over the years, but sometimes I just have to walk away, even when it is not my kid he is yelling at. Those boys have parents, grandparents, etc. in the stands and usually are VERY aware of how their kid may have screwed up, or cost their team points, etc. No need to be calling out their numbers in a public forum, unless that kid actually belongs to you. 100% my opinion, and I am fine with others who disagree!

Thanks for your advice - I am fairly new poster, and really don't know where anyone is from! If the DL you speak of is who I think it is, he was busting heads at 7! LOL! Good luck to yall the rest of the season too!

I was referencing this part of his comment: Have to give lots and I mean lots of credit to Fairview! Those kids did not lay down, at all! They may not be as large of a school as us but they certainly are not like Lewis County and scared to play quality competition! But thanks for pointing that out!

It is good to see a "non Fairview supporter/parent/fan" give credit about the kids not giving up. Seriously, it is much appreciated you recognized that as I think this group walked out of their with their heads down the other night - but this staff will more than get them ready for their next big school in Creek Wood this week!

Definitely, but it is all we as fans have to go on right now! LOL! Looking forward to some live football this week. And YES, these teams always bring it when they play each other! Should be a fun game to watch!

I think this is every parent/coaches fear right now. Not "if" contact tracing occurs, but "when" it happens. It truly makes me sad these kids literally cannot fully have any expectations for the season with this cloud hanging over their heads.

My nephew plays for Dickson and I was told Page struggled with them in a scrimmage too, but it was the first one, so I did not put much thought into it. Every one tends to struggle somewhat that first scrimmage. I know Page lost many plays with class of 2020, but have not heard about their losses with class of 2021.

This is a game both schools look forward to every year, and WCS Athletic department will do a top notch job of making the game day experience great! Fairview typically brings a big crowd, and Page are great hosts. Can't wait for the season to get started with the Battle of 840!

Hughes and staff always find a way to win and/or compete. Every year he graduates a large class "fans" start talking about how the next year will be a losing season, but they just seem to get the kids to step up. Having said that, this is probably one of the hardest schedules Fairview has had in the last 10 years. But just another challenge for the Jackets to overcome. So excited to get this season started!

Assuming mostly parents, coaches, or just fans on here - now that we are through June and starting "real practice", what is the buzz now about this region? Anything changed from original posting? Transfers, coaches, etc. - other than the ones already mentioned of course!

The rumor is they will have it before the first game.

What is cost? And these are open to high school, correct?

Same here - great showing by 11AA this year! Already looking forward to next season!
