  1. Will do - I was at that game and thought we had more than 64....but it has been over a year ago! LOL!
  2. Fairview would have to score more than 65 to break the school record - we broke it last year against Hickman with 72! Seriously, we could use some confidence building this week, need to go out and execute, play better defense, and protect the ball.
  3. If it comes down to execution it is probably a toss up, but if coaching is factored in - it is hard to beat Hughes and staff on a Friday night!
  4. Had Cheatham had a coach they should have beaten Fairview. Fairview's passing defense was terrible that game, and Cheatham did not capitalize on that. Fairview's defense has some serious breakdowns at the end, and let them score late in the game - that is why it looks like it was closer than it was. Beating Cheatham and Harpeth does not impress me much. Play Camden, Lewis County (there!!!), Waverly, and Page, then we can talk. Either way, whoever plays CPA will be a out, and until TSSAA recognizes their "sponsored" kids at that school as scholarships, CPA will continue to dominate. They should be playing BGA type schools, not public schools. Maybe someone will "sponsor" my kid to go there to play O-Line!
  5. In regards to Fairview and a rematch with Camden. Fairview has an excellent coaching staff, who does great at preparing for an opponent. If I had played them and beat them, I would not want a rematch! I think they would beat any team that beat them previously this season, hands down. It would take a very good coach to beat them again, as they would have to change their entire offense! Just my opinion!
  6. In my opinion, not only did Fairview come out to play in the second half, but they were the better coached football team - hands down. It was like the HC coach had not watched any film on Fairview and when things were not working, he did not make the necessary adjustments to win the ballgame. This will be the key difference when it comes to playoffs, and Fairview has always had the staff to make those in game adjustments needed to get the score going in their favor.
  7. Fairview will make the adjustments needed to get back on track this week. There were moments in the Camden game they can build off of and move forward. Coaching staff needs to stay confident in what they are doing, so the players will pick up on that confidence and build off of it. This week's game against Stewart County should be a win for the Jackets - they can build some confidence from that going into next week.
  8. Fairview plays good as the underdog, and in this game Friday I think they are clearly the underdog. Camden has always had good teams, but also like Cheatham, sometimes get overrated in preseason polls and predictions (Murphy Fair). Hughes always finds a way to get the most out of his players every game, and he does a great job of repairing mistakes made in the previous week. Having said that, this game is always a tough call for me as far as predictions go....
  9. Have known Coach Hughes for a while, but did not realize how big of a heart this guy has until this year. He loves to win games, but he also knows how to talk to these kids and support them as well. He is a life changer in most of their lives!
  10. Fairview can be their own worst enemy sometimes, they must not have stupid penalities or turnovers to win. Also, Fairview fans need to step it up too - very poor attendance in my opinion for the home playoff games.
