  1. lowe will play h-back. the only rbs hv will run this year is h-backs.
  2. it was 7-9, but most every pass was wide open. hv loaded the box to stop the run. seemed like hv was able to stop the option, but when ths started running sweeps and dives, hv had no answer. all in all, it was a very sloppy scrimmage, lots of turnovers and penalties. im not sure if ths was worse than i figured, hv was better, or a mix of the two. either way, i think ths might have underestimated hv just a little.can i get some feedback from ths fans on how south will look? they like to run a speed oriented run offense dont they? does anyone know who else hv scrimmages this year?

    The Duck

as easy as it seems, 2 players still didnt qualify. while u dont have to have great grades for utk, players still have to get through the ncaa clearinghouse. todd cox and darius myers didnt qualify this year, both instate players. duck wont qualify unless he hits the books. he will end up going to hargrave for a year and then coming to utk. no offense, but with the players lsu is picking up right now and the limited number of schollys a team can give out, i doubt theyll offer him right now. they just took 2 rbs and have a couple lbers as well. ive heard utk wants him as a lb or fb. the main true tbs they are looking at this year are lesean mccoy of pa and stafon johnson of ca.

    Cloudland

10-0 regular season. maybe bumps by williamsburg ky(???), sull east, cherokee and hampton, but i still think cloudland dominates its schedule. east and cherokee wont be great and hampton will be a step or two down from what they think. cloudland will be knocked out of the playoffs somewhere from the 2nd to the 4th round.
  5. congrats to brandon for making his dream come true. i hope fsu recruited him for de. theyve already got 1 other top 100 te and they really dont utilize their tes or fbs as it is.

  7. im not trying to sound hostile. i just want some written proof as to why u think guinn will do so good and why morgan will be bad. it seems u think that etowns young unproven players will step up but hvs wont. u dont show any proof for y u think that, i guess ur just being homers for etown. im not bashing etown. they may be great, but they havent shown me anything other than being a spoiler over the past couple years.
  8. other than grindstaff, who does etown have pitching? all i have seen is guinn and davenport. i wasnt impressed with guinn, id much rather have morgan. id take caldwell and morgan over grindstaff and guinn. may might not have stepped up big yet, but he hasnt had to. either way, if etown is as good as ur saying, then ud better expect caldwell both games. if morgan is so bad at pitching, then y did he post a 6-1 record as a sophomore? he didnt pitch against cloudland each time either. he lost more last year, but was relied on more. remember, weve had two sophomores step up when we needed pitching in the last few years(caldwell and toney), we have one set up to make the next big jump this year in blevins. etown has strived on being the underdog where hv has struggled as the favorite. i guess we may see how it is when the shoe is on the other foot, its not as easy being the top dog as ud think.
  9. i think hv lost about as much as etown did. grindstaff was good, but not dominant and its not as easy to repeat as it looks. i think hv can get just as far next year as this past year, because they were better than regionals, they should have at least went to substate. if they find team continuity, they will be great. not as many hr hitters, but id rather have players that put the ball into play consistently anyways.
  10. id venture to say that morgan is probably as quality as anyone on etowns roster for next year. morgan and caldwell are quality, other than that is a ?. may needs to step up, as do one of blevins and dykes. will would be good for depth and could make spot starts, drew would probably start cf for the bulk of the games.
  11. towards the end of the year, garland was the catcher, not butch. garland is back this year. most losses arent that big, with probably the exception of toney. i think we upgrade in certain positions. hv lost some decent to good players and a great player. u also have to factor in 2 players for hv that didnt play this year that may play next year, drew davis and will lowe. drew would have started this year in the outfield and will may have started. if both play next year, they will probably start. i think next year may hinge on those 2 playing, because if they dont, we will have no depth at all.
  12. i think hv will still be picked to win, though, unicoi, etown, south greene, and maybe north will be picked to do good. hv didnt lose alot, they lost a few players but etown lost just as many, though toney is a big loss.
  13. does any unicoi fans have a roster with the players name, position, and class for this past year? just curious about who losses what in the watauge conference
  14. does any north fan have a roster with the players name, position, and class for this past year? just curious about who losses what in the watauge conference
  15. i say that cannon pitches for pf and pitches a great game but harpeth wins a close one 3-1.
