Jackson County has showed some spirit so far this season looking at the scores. Community looks to be pretty decent this year if they can keep finding a way to feed #1 the ball. i think this will be the biggest test for both teams so far this season. Way too close to call.

So, the season opener for these two teams is a rivalry in the area. Which team comes out on top?

It marked the fifth consecutive playoff appearance for the Blue Devils reached the playoffs. Loftis, a 1997 Jackson County graduate, went 34-33 over six years. “It’s definitely going to be a rebuilding season,†Cagle said. “We lost a lot of seniors, most of them along the offensive and defensive lines. We’re trying to find the guys that are going to step up and take the responsibility of solidifying both sides of the ball for us.†Jackson County will be among 27 football programs that underwent a coaching change from the end of the 2014 campaign to the start of the 2015 season.

I think the District looks pretty strong outside of Pickett. JC is hitting the ball well and as long as they continue to pitch well they should take the district. Will be interesting to see how they do against Livingston tomorrow and Friday.

I think JC defense is better than Dunlap, offensively similar. I will say that I have not seen a ST like JC in a long time. They do not have a great return but they get after the block opportunities and play solid in coverage. Don't count out their K/P either, he is having a great year.

Why would they be lucky to play JC? You act like this is a scrub game. JC is in the playoffs because they earned it, same as any other team. You never count a team out or overlook an opponent. I hope the JC team does read all this, because you MC fans are adding fuel to a fire MC may not be able to put out.

I watched you guys play Dunlap. I agree with a lot that has been said, except that this will be a blowout.

Well, what you may also not know is that the starting QB and RB, who also play DB, were taken out during the Upperman game. (Which JC was winning until then). They didn't get back until Gordonsville. Watertown was playing for a shot at the playoffs on Senior night, at their last home game. This is tough for any team to overcome, not just JC vs Watertown.

Man, everyone is really riding MC's jock strap. I have been fortunate enough to see a lot of 2A football this year. Got to watch Marion and Jackson Co. It is going to be a tougher match-up than anyone on here is predicting. Can it get out of hand? Absolutely. Will it? I am not sure.

Fire them all? I dont know who you were talking to but the word around that area seems to be people are happy with what that staff has done.

The offense seems a mix between spread and power from the games I saw. They do not need to sub very often. Those boys have played the whole season on both sides of the ball., they are in shape, and I bet ready for the MC team. No one has given this team any credit all year long. Everyone talks about the other team in every match-up. Well, keep on talking, they will keep playing football.

Jackson Co defense is a lot better than anyone on here is giving credit for. These boys play hard and physical. This game will not be the "blowout" everyone is claiming. I do not see the Marion Co. defense just shutting out this teams offense either. This will be another weak of smash mouth football, nothing cute. I think JCHS pulls off the upset in a close game. Not going to predict the score cause it could go high or low.

This is going to be a great game. Both programs are playing well, looking forward to watching this one.

Game night, what are your final score predictions? I say, JC 21 - UHS 19

RBS is a lot bigger and tougher than people realize. I also saw where JC won 23-6 against Clay, but I heard they had a transfer at QB and the kid has a cannon. I have seen Upperman and JC this year, both teams are physical and athletic. Will be a great game to see this Friday. We will simply have to agree to disagree on the outcome. I can see it going both ways, but not because one team is just that much better than the other. This will be a close game.

Have you watched Jackson County? Sounds like everyone is just speculating because of what Upperman WAS last year. I think it is going to be a fight between both teams. I also saw where someone said Jackson has Monteray next week, and that will affect the team. Upperman has York... you don't think they have that in the back of their minds? This game is going to be a lot closer than anyone on here thinks.
