I think the top 4 for the playoffs have been determined. What order they finish will be determined on the field. Sycamore is def the disappointment thus far. As back woods said they should have drilled hunters lane. The late coaching change appears to have hurt them. They really came unglued late in the Cheatham game. The Fullum kid from Harpeth is nasty and if he gets space he is gone.

Barnes has came along way. It's like night and day from last season. You can see the hard work he's put in. Offensively they have a lot of guys getting touches which makes them tough to stop. They are a little undersized but make up for it with team speed

Cheatham put it on sycamore 28 to 6. Sycamore had to many penalties and turnovers. They really struggle to throw the ball. Thought 47 should have touched the ball a little more for sycamore on offense, he is a load to tackle.

Who wins tonight? I got: Fairview Camden Sycamore( but I'm a cub fan and will be pulling for the upset)

Tennessee coaches, players and fans know about Henry County. 2 state titles in last 5 years, I can't even remember the last time they didn't win 9 games. They don't rebuild they reload

Clarksville now said the situation at NE is being referred to CPD. Coaches and some assistants are being suspended until further investigations. Sounds exactly like a hazing incident

Swarm: Yellow jackets are team to beat right now imo. Followed by sycamore and Camden. Harpeth, Cheatham and Stewart will battle for that last playoff spot. But a lot can happen , injuries, kids get better, turnovers etc etc. just glad it's football season!

2 hour rain delay friday night between Cubs and Bulldogs. Final 35 to 34 Bulldogs. Cheatham scored on last play of game and went for 2 and the win. Cubs are better offensively right now, when the defense gets consistent they'll be okay. Big test Friday against Sycamore, war eagles are getting all their players back from injuries.

cheatham executed all game. Game was over by middle of 3rd. Cubs cleared the bench for most of the 4th. They have good team speed but are undersized. Cubs defense got a 3 and out on first possession and then returned opening punt. They did give up 200 yards rushing to #22 for jo byrns so will need to correct rushing defense. Overall great first game for 2016 season.

Mumble ,i agree and hope your right. I'm not knocking any of those kids at all or Coach Stuart. My kid plays sports and attends there as well and I couldn't beat any of them 1 on 1!!!! Hard work over the summer can make a huge difference. I know the have a ridiculous ball handler coming from the middle school who has great court vision.

Cheatham county has had the talent to compete. The problem they have had is keeping all their kids in county. We've lost kids to FRA, good pasture and had 1 transfer to Cookeville. Even had 1 kid go to MBA. Difference making kids that they lost. A lot has to do with the issues that were created with the school board/ director fiasco. Some felt the kids didn't get challenged academically etc etc. this hurts overall talent and depth.

JJ I know your a cub fan like myself but they will be down for awhile. Those are good kids you listed coming back but none are AAU type studs who can carry a team. None of this kids made any significance in last nights game against Maplewood and that's the level they need to be at to survive and advance during tournaments.

It was Austin Douglas vs. Maplewood. He had somewhere in the neighborhood of 35 or 40. He was the only kid that didn't look rattled, or nervous. He was the only cub player that believed and it showed in the body language, mouthing to the refs, rushing shots or not shooting at all. Lazy passes etc. A lot of that had to do with Maplewoods full court pressure. They were relentless on defense. The biggest difference in the game though was rebounding ,Maplewood owned the glass. Guaranteed they had 14 points on offensive rebounding and that was the difference. In the Mr. Basketball matchup, Douglas had a better individual game but Hodges is the real deal and tonight he just plain had a better, more intense team. 10aa is just more competitive than 9aa and it gets them ready for games like this. Anyways congrats to the "wood" on the victory and Austin Douglas should walk the halls proud he gave it his all.

Ruot monyyong is the 6ft9 kid. The creek has serious size besides him. Maplewood was more skilled and athletic and should have taken 2 of 3. They are the better team and let it slip away. I was wanting cubs vs maplewood in region finals and now it will be a round earlier and a good team is going to miss out on a sub state chance. That's no disrespect to whites creek by the way they did what they needed to do.

Cheatham has never had a mr basketball winner. Stack didn't win it in 94 or 95.Neither did Trenton or Shawn. All were NBA players but didn't win it. Cheatham will be the only team to win in regionals. They should beat Hume Fogg but will probably have there season end in round 2 against Maplewood. Whites creek would have been a better matchup.

Rossview is doing their thing. 11 game win streak since the loss to Cheatham.

Harpeth is the real enigma here. They have just as much talent if not more than anyone and currently stand at 10 and 12. Hmmmm

I agree with you Jett. They are better than I thought they would be. How could you not think that though losing players like they lost. They have a very smart, disciplined team talented team
