  1. Not overlooking anyone, just saying Single A, in my opinion, is as weak as it's been for a long while. Will 2 teams from 7A make it to Murfreesboro? I would be shocked if they didn't. But 7A is weaker than usual. Whoever the 2 are that make it to Boro have a legit shot but that goes back to Single A as a whole being weaker than usual. My preseason picks in 7A would be 1- Clarkrange, 1A- Clay Co, 3- Pickett Co, but could easily be exactly opposite of that. Looking forward to this season in all divisions.
  2. 21-Nil....Dragons 6:30 left in 2nd
  3. Single A is weaker than water this season and 7A is as weak as it's been in recent memory. PC, Range & Clay guaranteed 10-12 wins against teams (rest of that district) that on a great day are not very good. Although RBS is not too bad. Trousdale, Monterey, Jackson and Gordonsville are not very strong at all.
  4. Pre-Season predictions.... 1. Macon Co 2. York Institute / Upperman 4. DeKalb Co / Cannon Co 6. Livingston Academy 7. Smith Co 8. Watertown Overall district will be better and more competitive in my opinion.
  5. York and I don't think it will be close.
  6. Congratulations to Upperman for repeating and to Macon County for their hard earned runner up. This season ended with 2 8AA teams in the State Championship game. The district should be much more competitive next season and much improved from top to bottom. Obviously Macon County will be the prohibitive favorite but how does everyone see it shaking out?
  7. Fair enough, but get your explanation somewhere besides half court. That's an automatic T. The foul that was called was an abysmal call, but so we're about 20 other calls/non-calls in that game. Bottom line she should've been stuck.
  8. I can't argue with that.... But I'd like to, haha.
  9. Thanks for the complementing my wisdom, much appreciated. If you or anyone else thinks what you have coming in remotely will affect a game like the two you lose then more power to you. Your freshmen this year had a free ride, no one schemed or gameplanned them. They lived off of Levy drawing all the defense and older Hurst being a very good player. Next season they are going to have to deal with actually getting defended. Like I said, without Levy tonight they get smoked. It's a different world without her, that's all I'm saying. I still think Upperman will be solid next year but they won't be elite in my opinion.
  10. Not even close, you lose a very good senior and a once in a generation player who makes the rest look good. Freshmen aint replacing those two.
  11. Its awesome you can predict the future..... Or so I've been told. Except you are much more likely to be wrong than I am in this instance.
  12. It was a bad call, Levy blocked it clean.... But the Upperman faithful fail to acknowledge Macon was on the receiving end of multiple bad calls that affected that game in regulation. But, somehow Larry wasn't at half court putting his hands on officials.
  13. Not in the real world. Without Akira today Upperman loses that game by 20+. Next year (and possibly the year after that) region semis will be a good years for UHS.
  14. Whether it was a bad call or not, the reaction of the coach deserved multiple Ts by any definition of the rule. And then they interrupted the kid shooting after the second free throw when it was obvious she was getting 3 free throws.
  15. Upperman needs to live it up cause next year reality and the real world sets in.
  16. Doesn't matter, they blew a bunch the other direction too. You can't put your hands on s ref... Period. That's always been the cardinal rule, besides being 30 feet outside the coaches box.
  17. Dana should've been Td up at least twice. Unbelievable
  18. Greenfield showed up at winning time. Pickett spit the bit up 13. I live in the Upper Cumberland, and all those 7A titles mattered not one iota when the game was there to take. What happened the last 20 years, the last 10 years, the last year, this season, last month or last week doesn't matter in the moment when it's winning time. Would've loved to see PC win for Pritchett, she certainly deserved it, but in the end Greenfield made plays and took a game that was in the balance.
  19. She played with Magic, I know we played against them several times. Where'd Akira go to middle school, Overton County? Where'd she go to high school, Upperman... Who was over Magic?... Dana, and she may not have been the coach but she was there close to the bench. Funny how things work out. Again, not against the rules at all... But like I said, it sure should be!
  20. Where'd Akira play AAU in middle school?
  21. The point is there should be. Clear recruiting advantage for.HS coaches who coach middle school AAU, especially a "school specific" related AAU team. Flight, Rush etc are not school related teams, Magic most definitely is.
  22. Wow, glad somebody over there admitted it! Just out of curiosity, who else does it? HS coaches should not be able to coach elementary/middle school AAU. The recruiting potential is a distinct advantage. Plain & simple, tssaa is either asleep at the wheel or complicit, it's one or the other and nothing else is a feasible possibility.
