That’s tough for those kids, I don’t understand that ruling from TSSAA when they let SP get two big time seniors one from a private school CCS, who just so happened to play them last year and waxed SP. The other one who got there right before the season started from a big school in Georgia who was not legally aloud to play in Georgia , because of his actions. They used the federal McKinney-Vento Homeless Act which is basically homeless kids needing help to get an education. That simply wasn’t true he chose to be homeless to play football for SP. Seems like TSSAA just picks and chooses their battles. There is definitely an Asterisk by their championship IMO. Even if they didn’t recruit him they gave him safe passage with limited questions asked, because they saw the Auburn commit who could possibly win some football games. And they don’t win the ship without those two players.

Go to 5-6a already or D-2 III so these titles will actually mean something. Beating up on teams without the resources you have seems to be too easy for Alcoa. Why don’t they have a mini series or Documentary on some streaming platform? People are interested in how to build powerhouses or how their able to dominate year after year. Maybe it wouldn’t be as impressive if we got a glimpse behind the scenes though kinda like 2 a days ended up exposing some not so good things. Alcoa is Titletown TN for sure!

NFHS or MyTv30 out of Nashville plays all the games on Television! Only 2 ways unless it’s illegally streamed.

TN opened up a can of worms for sure by turning high school team sports into a bidding war, college kids is one thing letting high school kids make NIL money while some of them are still minors is ridiculous! FWIW I think it won’t effect many small schools or at least ones who don’t even care about having a winning pedigree in Football., but the ones it does will have a huge advantage. If it gets so bad where the same teams are winning over and over, which is inevitable in A-AA they will have no answer but to police it. Only way I can think to do that is have any Public school playing in D1-A-AAAA list any amount donated, raised, or used on acquiring, upkeeping, or even rent and stuff paid on each player and add it all up and let them play each other compared to how much they have spent, because I guarantee you there are some schools losing money playing football, but yet some have very deep pocketed benefactors. Of course that would force TSSAA to do their research and actually hold schools accountable for having advantages so we can forget about that.

Yeah, I agree I couldn’t understand the Greeneville play calling after the first quarter it’s like they were shocked Upperman could play and didn’t really have a plan B. They had no urgency or rhythm, plus they barely tested Uppermans secondary which aloud them to load the box against Quillen. Credit Upperman they won the line of scrimmage on both sides. Pearl Cohn is on another level though at every position and will have no problem running the rock or throwing against them! Big Ups for Upperman getting to this stage! They will be much better next year with all this experience they are gaining, they are 1 of 2 teams in 4a still practicing football, that’s a great season for anybody!

What they don’t understand that even if the “Boosters” do it with or without the coaches or players knowledge, it’s still cheating. It has been going on for a long time, but now it’s legal so enjoy watching them win a whole bundle of championships in the near future!

Win or lose against PC next week you are wrong, this game means a lot to the community and the entire UC. It means One more week of practice, bragging rights over the entire East, and it definitely has humbled some Greeneville posters and got some of them trying to fire their coach! I’ll take that all day

They are bullying the bully glad their region is getting their due if they pull this off and pop Greeneville in the mouth!

Should be an interesting finish! Can Upperman grind it out and keep Quillen contained. Greeneville seems to be a one trick pony right now.

I’ve heard the smell alone there gives the Lions +7 before the game even starts. All jokes aside, this will be a battle Surber has proved his team hasn’t rebuilt they’ve reloaded! Dresden has to use that speed and physically to impose their will!

Get him rested up hopefully it isn’t serious! Edit: I really think Wellington should have been final 3 the kid improved a lot from last year! Even if he does have more “Dawgs” around him he added much more toughness to his game, I watched him truck some Clay kids and I’m sure he’s been doing it all year. Kelly is another underrated piece for y’all kid is a gamer.

That’s all that matters my man is the kids and coach Miller has done a lot of good for his players and communities that he’s been a part of! I hope all the kids the best! I was never and never will be against kids and even coaches trying to better their situations! Good season MASE!
