I realize CA is strong but I know any team can be beat. I have seen many times kids,and they are kids, look over teams like Summertown. I wish the kids at CA the best of luck and if they beat us so be it. At the end of the game I know they will say they were in a fight, because I know our kids.

No channel 4 will be there because of a great community has come together and made upgrades to a football field so their kids can have a home field. There was no county funding or rich investor making donations, just down home folks hard work. And, Yes for a big game for each team. After seeing your post each day I hope your players come in and take us lightly just like u and walk away with a loss.

I would say only a 10th of the team played organized ball before high school. A few of the guys started in youth league when it started. Mote is probably the only one who has played a long time.

I believe they will stop the work study program if I read the local paper right. The 1.8 multiplying rule is still in effect. So, their enrollment will still be under 400.

CA won't move up. One of the reasons given on why they did not want to go to Dll was because of the travel. I think that was a cop out cause now they travel to Huntland in this region and that is almost 2 hrs away. In my opinion I think they are worried they would not be competitive.

Will WC make a possible move to 2A next year? I believe Summertown will make the jump.

No one is cocky we are just proud. I have been around Highschool football for years. I remember CA being down. Who brought y'all out of that? Yes Coach Mote. With his leadership this team has surpassed what some thought was possible. Yes fans in Summertown are excited for good reason.

"Take the Eagles out of the flight" Really? I know CA has a lot of experience compared to the Eagles, but these boys have heart. I am sure the Bulldogs do too. If CA thinks this is a cake walk and Summertown comes in with high energy and plays the way they have been, then we may see an upset.

Mote and Johnson did a great job keeping Taylor bottled up tonight. 2 under sized guys that knows how to hit. The Eagles offense was on point, but defensively they looked great. Good job on special teams too. EAGLES take care of business in all 3 phases of the game.

Is there anything new on the sanctioning of middle school football and is there anywhere to read about this?

I am a Summertown fan and I agree we will win a few and yes we will lose a few. Huntland will be a big test for the Eagles. With Taylor in the back field and his abilities on the defensive side of the ball Huntland could possibly take #3 in the region. If the Eagles come out Friday and play with emotions like they finished with in the Loretto game it will be one to watch.

You can probably add Summertown to 2A for football.

Summertown has a few guys to watch this year in their 2 me yr of Varsity football. Chase Mote a senior will be a force on both sides of the ball. Last season he had over 120 tackles. Riley Chapman a QB is working hard to improve and will throw it around. Dylan Powell is a stud possession receiver. Lennox Johnson MLB had 65 tackles as a freshman last year. Summertown Eagles will be exciting to watch.

All depends on the line on both sides of the ball. Offencive play call has to be better too.

Yes I was surprised to hear that cause they did better than expected last season. I believe he went to East Hickman.

I do and will get it on the site soon. Mote actually plays In a safety position but drops down in the box. After the scrimmage I would say maybe 4th or 5th in the district would surprise me.
