Smokestack Didn't Goodpasture have an assistant go be a head coach at Clarksville? Is he a candidate? Also, I believe you can remove Peden from the list, he was run through the mud by the Goodpasture people who were sure he was in a conspiracy to get rid of Martin.

These are all good choices, since you appear to have some inside knowledge, why did Goodpasture not go after one of these men the last time?

Are you saying the parents should not comment to the administration if they are not happy with the current state of the program? So you are saying that everyone at Goodpasture should get behind the current coach and give him 100% support while he is head coach? I don't believe you will get some on this post to agree with you.

Don't get sensitive, Certainly not defending, just responding to a previous poster who was discussing the record since the last state championship appearance.

All good points, you need depth to compete. Also, keep in mind that one needs to compare Martin's entire body of work vs a two year period. I don't have his record at Goodpasture, but would guess the record is better than 13-10 for the two year period post 2010 season.

I have to go with Fayetteville and the speed. I see this one being fairly close up until mid third quarter and then Fayetteville pulling away.

I agree, FRA, DCA, Boyd, FC, Davidson, Several other smaller privates in Chattanooga would make a good division with good rivals developing.

I believe all privates will be in D2 soon. I really like the fact that Boyd and DCA try to play on a regular basis, usually this is a good game with evenly matched programs. Even if they put all privates in one division, Webb will still dominate the small division until someone else steps up.

I looked this up, I stand corrected from my last post. Since the team which went to the title game in 2010: 2011 and 2012 (Martin) : 8-4 and 5-6( I was wrong that Reynolds graduated in 10, he played on the 8-4 team). Record post championship: 13-10. 2013 and current year (mote): 6-6, current 0-4. At this pace Mote will need to win 7 more games this year to equal Martins post state record. One question to be fair, does Mote have the same talent last year and currently that Martin had for his last Two years? Legit question for Goodpasture fans to debate.

It will be hard to bet against Nashville Christian this year with the talent they have on the field. I see a possible title game of NC vs either South Pitt or Union City, depending on which side of the bracket NC falls on.

Look the the Goodpasture post, looks like they would be willing to trade for Coach Creasy based upon the quotes about their current staff!!

Since you brought it up, what was Martin's record since the last title game and what is the new coach's record. I bet the reason they have not been back to state is that they lost that good QB after the state game against Alcoa. One thing I don't understand is why would the new coach want to play the likes of Clarksville, Cain Ridge and I believe they still play Maplewood?

Actually I believe Martin left after 2012. Current coach started in 2013, however I could be wrong, possibly some Goodpasture fans can confirm.

Grace may not be there if privates are going to be seperate as some predict will happen next year.

I have to go with Westmoreland for a few reasons. They are playing at home, but more importantly they won't see the speed they saw last week unless they make it to cookeville and face Alcoa. Both teams lost last week, but Westy's loss was to a much better team. Throw in the fact they should have a few more players back, edge to Westmoreland.

I heard Derrick Dooooley is interested in coming back to TN. Of course he may not be able to find Madison since it appeared he had a hard time finding Hendersonville when Hurd and Malone were there.
