  1. Wanna start off by apologizing to Kyler Creasy. I had major doubts on him being able to lead Oakland to a state championship, he showed significant improvement and was the calm leader Oakland needed him to be, well done young sir. The improvement the OL made over the course of the season was something to behold. There were times in the season It was a major struggle. With 4 starters returning and several young backups, the future looks bright at the position. Was really happy to see TT Hill make some big plays for Oakland tonight. It wasn't quite the season he had envisioned, but I'm glad he gets to end his HS career as a champion. Chase Bandy wasn't called upon alot over the course of the season, but when he was, he delivered. One of the guys nobody really talked about but was a huge part of this team Not much you can say about Daune Morris and Craig Tutt that hasn't been said except I'm glad we have Tutt for another year, what a combo. Shoutout to Quentin Norfolk who came back at less than 100 percent so he could help out the OL, even though that wasn't his primary position. Defense had some low points in the playoffs, but in the biggest games of the year they were at their best. Great effort all around and heckuva job by DC David Watson. Front 7 answered the call tonight not allowing hardly anything on the ground and the secondary made Houston work for every completion Every state championship means alot but this one will be just a little bit sweeter, getting revenge on Houston and the obstacles that had to be overcome to get there. Proud to be a Patriot!
  2. Didn't interact with Mondo much, but always respected with opinion. He'll be missed
  3. Anybody that raises their hand is a liar. What a turn of events right before halftime
  4. They're gonna play him as an H-Back/FB initially, but they do have a good history or moving players on offense to defense
  5. Oakland has been banged up pretty much all year, but so is everybody else at this point. Rain or not, Houston was just better last year, they gave us a dose of our own medicine
  6. Accusing Oakland of recruiting while your God has made a career of mooching off the talent of the other schools in the area, that's rich
  7. Pearl-Cohn had no problem and they are half the size of Anderson County, which is nearly a 5A school. You need to put an asterisk when you say Anytime Anywhere. You should sell whatever your smoking if you believe Gillum is remotely close to the top of coaches in this state, not even the top 5 in his own class
  8. Give Oakland a call, since your coach is the best in the history of the sport and all that
  9. Ask any DC what offense they hate the most with just a week to prepare and I bet most would say the Wing-T. Pemberton's first 3 teams at RC were really good. Nearly pulled off a crazy comeback against West with that 2014 team
  10. True your not gonna have much of a quick game with the Wing-T, at least not when you throw it. Slants, Verts, Outs, Corner, Hook, Curls, etc are all there with Wing-T
  11. There isnt an offense out there that would have made CC successful this year. It's tailor made for programs that don't produce much talent or athletes, which would apply to both CC and Clinton. Once the players got it down, it's a nightmare to defend even more so in that part of the state bc nobody runs it. I'm not trying to vouch for Pemberton or whoever, just against this idea that WR's can't benefit from playing in a Wing-T offense
  12. Now go check the attendance for each of those id be willing to bet they're drawing way more than TN does in a weekend. The onus is on the TSSAA to make it worth their while, not the Titans.
  13. All the routes that a spread offense runs you can still do in a Wing-T, all that changes is where they are lined up
  14. It's as simple as this: If Page can get pressure on SC, they win this game handily. If they don't, its gonna get interesting
  15. This has nothing to do with Oakland. There is nothing you can do in a Spread/Pro formation that you can't do in a Wing-T. Why Riverdale and Oakland are being brought into this I'm not sure Creasy is from Lewis County
  16. Let's be honest here, this wasn't news to Rang. Doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that OR was trending towards 6A the last 5-6 years. If OR wants to make Rang's job easier/better, they'd drop the crazy tuition fees that they charge. It's like fighting with one hand tied behind your back
  17. I'd actually argue differently. The Wing-T is a very flexible offense, which is why your seeing it at the college and pro levels. Just about every offense in college features a formation or package with Wing-T principles
  18. Like I said earlier, there's a reason why organizations aren't chomping at the bit to host. There are alot of things that the Titans do that benefit the community around them, giving a free lunch to the TSSAA shouldn't be one of them, unless they're willing to increase the guaranteed money significantly
  19. Hopefully Hill can make an impact in this game. Bandy is due for a big game as well
  20. How many of those other states are drawing under 5k for a title game? The Titans aren't a charity and just because our tax dollars go to the building of a stadium doesn't mean they should be expected to just take a loss every year. You wanna see their stadium? Take a tour like a normal person
