The ones transferring to Tullahoma are being pulled there by getting kids to do the recruiting, the kids going to transferring to Grundy are doing so, because they want to play for a black coach. So be it, if they can be pulled away that easily then their hearts were not in the game to play for the rebels. Or the team didn't have the support of their parents, so the kids parents are looking to bounce them around and is looking for excuses. That whole attitude has been a thorn in the side for Coffee County and Franklin county for many years. I do not see it changing any time soon.

After SC did this, tssaa should put them out of the playoffs unless they suspend all kids/coaches involved. All I'm saying is this is one way schools get away with it. Would be really hard to prove.

I'm not talking about any of those schools. All have is word of mouth is to how it was done. The dad admitted that they paid tuition (to have proof it was paid) but that is was refunded. This kid lives in the county over but plays for a city school.

What about if they don't move (same county or neighboring county), they are supposed to pay tuition. But either they pay it and then gets a refund or never have to pay it?

I totally agree, this was not the team from last week. Blaze 45, Burks was all out making all kinds of big plays. Kid showed out for sure. Even after CC last 70 drive at the end of the game against the freshman defense, CC probably still has negative yards for this game. And that is before the penalty yardage.

He really wasn't a factor in the Shelbyville game. Not saying that in a bad way, just his name wasn't all over the PA like his brother's was last year. But with CC luck, this will be his break out all star game.

This game did surprise me. Rain and wet field always seem to play a big part. But I give it to CC they fought until the end. Matter fact (as a whole team) they fought harder Friday night than they have in many years.

Lighting did not take the wind out of the sails. Shelbyville did that. West Coffee's wind was gone the last part of the 2nd qtr. The delay only helped Tullahoma catch their breath. I think the delay actually took steam away from Shelbyville.

I'm a CC fan from way back, But I do not see this as a toss up. Not enough of the CC kids have their hearts in the game. Sorry just call it how I see it from the stands. I hope they prove me wrong, I have been wrong many times before. Actions speak louder than words.

Well you said New high school, nothing about reopening the old high school. That is why I ask the simple question.

Where are they building this new High school?

I heard the director of schools made their mind up months ago. But didn't do anything because the school board wanted to be involved. When the school board did what they did the other night, the director of schools more or less said screw them I'm going with the pick I had months ago. Just hate it for the kids. I wish Coach Smith the best of luck, but I don't look for him to stay long.

Coach Ray wasn't promised anything. But after the online interviews a board member made him feel like he was they guy that he wanted. Only to have that board member choose to reopen bids to keep looking. The school board wanted to keep looking only to have the Director of schools and Principle hire Coach Smith anyways. Seems all the online interviews and school board meeting about this was a total waste of everyone's time. Just like they had the rumor going around that 20+ people had put in for this job and they had to narrow the search down from there. When I have been told by a parent that only 3 people put in for the job.

Giving the refs to much power. Now they can control the game they are in and future games they will not be at. All for more $$$ for TSSAA. This will not be as much of a problem at Football games as it will Baseball and Softball, but could cause real problems with these sports.
