They defaced their own fieldhouse to make it look like South Pitt did it and got busted having playbooks from other opponents. That goes beyond the typical teenager shenanigans. Keyword teenager. 2 grown men who were assistants under McCurry did that. I wouldnt trust McCurry to do the right thing when it was 2 of his own guys doing this. Marion Co. self-reported another TSSAA violation previous to that incident that happened under McCurry. Lets not forget the DUI that he tried to keep hidden from Crockett County as well. I could name off several coaches that could win at FC without compromising the program as a whole.

For the record, I think the Super 32 plan (or whatever you want to call it) has some potential. My hope is that with their spot in the playoffs guaranteed, teams will start to schedule like they are supposed to

Truth be told, I am dissapointed that it took going out of state for Oakland & Blackman to find a game for this. The current playoff systems have made cowards out of alot of football coaches.

As a coach, you also have to be able to command a locker room. McCurry can win games no doubt, but there are coaches that are just as good that havent done some of the shady stuff he has done. Quite frankly, he is lucky to still have a job after what happened at Marion Co.

Talent-wise, Rossview has enough skill players to make it interesting. But given their inability to win at the point of attack against good competition, Whitehaven should pull away pretty early in the second half.

If your the HC that is replacing Woodward, do you really want to work at a place where you have to worry about your job at the first moment of trouble? Brentwood is still going to run into alot of the same problems in 5A that they have had over the last 2 seasons

Hope Brentwood is satisfied with being irrelevant. After firing Woodward after 2 seasons, because no HC worth his salt is going to want this job based on unrealistic expectations

I agree, but McCurry has enough skeletons to fill up a closet. FC can do better

Long time reader, first time poster. Hope its a good game but in terms of philosophies, this game is a total mismatch

I think this talk of Whitehaven being soft is just plain dumb. Rossview has made a living feasting on bad teams for the last 2 years. Defensively, they arent very good and get crushed when facing decent competition. When Whitehaven establishes dominance at line of scrimmage, this game will be over fast

Not sure what that has to do with this, but yes several times. My point is that even if you load the box, Oakland can still hurt you with its playmakers at receiver

Oakland ran for close to 400 yards last week. I'd call that an identity. Would Marysville be a favorite? Possibly, but that's just plain stupid to think they would boat race Oakland
