The refs were bad for both teams. Anytime a game in regulation ends at almost 10pm, you know the whistles were plenty. Hopefully, tonight will be better. Sorry to hear about Coker. We all hope he gets well.

I wish we could get over the Harpeth win and beat some other people in Jan and Feb.

I imagine CW will spend a lot of time on special teams this week in practice. CW don't need to worry about the play-offs until after they worry about getting a win Friday night. I know that the CW boys will be working especially hard this week because they know they need a win Friday night. I have all the confidence in the world that they will bounce back and take care of business. There is too much talent and too much coaching for them to be down about anything. They all realize that they didn't play as well as they could have and i am sure they won't make the same mistakes.

The score will be settled tomorrow night and all of these post won't mean squat. The kids will all go out there and battle on both sides of the ball and the best team tomorrow night will walk off the winner. If i was a betting man i would go with CW though.

Creek Wood isn't over-rated. Creek Wood has never put a rating on themselves. It is put there by everyone else. The Red Hawks aren't worried about where they are rated and what everyone else thinks. They are worried about one thing and that is winning the game Friday night. Then it will be time to worry about the next week. Games are settled on the field not in the rankings. 3-0 is a great start for the Red Hawks but they are far from satisfied.

Creek Wood is coming off of a huge win at Marshall County which came after a huge win against Station Camp. CW has a lot of speed on both sides of the ball. Vaughn will be back next Friday night and that could mean trouble for the Central running backs. The Red Hawks will be ready for next Friday night and they will remember last year. I look for the W to be beside CW's name at the end of the game.

It is hard to judge the teams by the way they played against Sycamore. CW played sloppy against Sycamore too. I think it will be a hard fought game on both sides of the skin but i am looking for CW to take this one.

I didn't figure i needed to say anything! Score boards, rings, well the abscence of rings in your case says it all. Now maybe next year people will "shut up and play" the game instead of assuming a team will moonwalk to a state championship. If you need some condolance call up Bobby Cox he knows how you feel . I shouldn't say that stuff because that isn't to all Soddy fans but don't get on here and post something about me when the board is about softball. Well i don't care if you do i guess i can put the facts where your foot is........ in your mouth!

Whatever happened to sportmanship? Why can't a team (not just Soddy) lose a game and tip their hat to the other team? Why can't the team that won the game realize that they beat a team who made it to the state championship and that it takes a great team to make it that far? I am sure it was a hard fought battle out there and nothing caps a good game like great sportmanship. Not going to take a runner-up trophy is crazy. Do you know how many teams and girls would have loved to have still been playing and would have given anything to have the honor of being second in the state instead of sitting on the couch? It reminds me of the Manning football family. They have talent but they are ungrateful people. Kids sitting around just praying they can even get in the draft and Eli whines about who is going to draft him. I used to enjoy watching them play and now they make me sick. As a Jim Rome caller would say War not counting your chickens before they hatch, War not cramming your foot down your esophagus, and War being a great sport and a productive human being. I'm out!

"fluke", "shocked"? Bottom line is this. State Champion caliber teams don't let that stuff happen in late innings. State Champions come to play and step it up in clutch situations. Beech did and Soddy didn't. Beech got the win. Don't make excuses such as "fluke". You make those kind of errors and want to be called State Champs? Soddy as with the past few years thought they had it made and didn't account for middle tn. Congrats Lady Bucs. Keep it in the middle!

Way to go Beech! I don't know why Beech would have been the underdogs. Why is Soddy picked number one every year. Soddy is picked to be number one every year. This tournament isn't over yet but Soddy is starting to remind me of the Atlanta Braves, get there every year but can't finish the deal.

Soddy downed by Beech 3-2. We know how to play softball a little bit in middle tn too.

Club K does a great job of instruction; however, they do a great job of sucking up everyone's money too. The girls and parents who go there for years and years are doing nothing more than wasting their money. I read where someone had been going since hermitage. I have been around Club K since it was a small two batting cage and one pitcher area hole in the wall in Brentwood. No one but Cheri, Doe, and a lady by the name of Julie Armstrong were there. They do know what they are talking about but no more than others around do. After two years (and even that is a stretch) you aren't learning anything new. You are just paying to use their facilities for reps that could be done easily and free somewhere else. If you are worried about the credentials send your girls to the UT summer camp Ralph and Karen coached the U.S. olympic softball team in 2000. There are other cheaper more sensible sources to learn the game. There have even been a few names listed on this board. I'm all for using Club K as a base to get your basic fundamentals down but after that it is on the individual player to get better.

Creek Wood over Walker Valley 1-0! We haven't forgotten you Marshall County. We are looking forward to a rematch!

This is only the third year that Creek Wood has been in existence and they are going to the state for the second time. That isn't too shabby and they are returning everyone next year almost. They are only losing two girls. Their ace pitcher and their leading hitters and defenders will all return though. Congrats to the Lady Redhawks. That is the way to battle. Everyne has been doubting you girls all season and now you are going to memph town. Great Season keep it up!

Everyone is saying Soddy has it all wrapped up. Soddy is a talented team but go show them that middle tenn. is there to represent.
