  1. man, I don't know who you are, but you absolutely nailed this post.
  2. They missed the first PAT; then by basic football logic, they went for 2 on the next PAT. Judging by the score of “12”, I assume they didn’t make it.
  3. I would love a Starbucks in Chapel Hill. It’ll go great with our two traffic lights.
  4. We are fully aware you will rip them. Thanks for the fair warning though.
  5. Shocking, coming from the General.
  6. Cobb is one of the best quarterbacks/athletes in this area; from everything I've heard, Cornersville had him running for his life all night. No matter who they are playing, I usually fully expect the Eagles to put up 14 by Cobb by himself. The fact that Cornersville shut them out is beyond eye-opening. Hopefully the Rockets can take a page out of the Bulldogs gameplan and apply the pressure early. Surprised Amerigha gave as much credit to Corntown as he did considering the "12-0 streak over Cornersville since 2001."
  7. I don't have a pick. I am just genuinely tired of you putting a bullseye on Forrest's back, every year, every week even. And then following up your post later that week with, "...won't be able to make it to the game. Will be following on the radio, though." I may only have 7 posts, but I've been following your 2,000+ posts of nonsense for years now. You need to shut your mouth.
  8. Knowing Amerigha, he probably won't even be at the game. So his armchair analysis should be perfect considering that's where he'll be.
  9. Let's not cry about it now. Meigs had MULTIPLE penalties over and over again that cost them dearly. Forrest was the more disciplined team; thus, the reason they put themselves in position to win the game. Game-winning TD was caught by a Mr. Football semi-finalist. Big players make big plays when the game is on the line. All I've seen on this thread this week was that Forrest stood no chance against Meigs. That Meigs would win big, that Meigs would win by multiple scores. 84% of CoachT users had Forrest losing. Great to see them overcome every doubter they've face this season. Bring on Marion County. We'll be ready for them.
  10. Forrest scores 2 touchdowns with less than a minute to play in the third quarter, Forrest ties the game at 14-14. Going into 4th quarter. So yeah, like I said, they gave Forrest ALL they could handle in the first half, not MORE than they can handle. These boys have more fight than any Forrest team I've ever seen. Don't ever count them out. Go Rockets!
  11. Jackson County up 14-0 on Forrest at halftime. JC giving Forrest everything they can handle.

    9-A

Forrest pitching depth might be their x-factor heading into the tournament. It will be interesting to see how the rest of the district shapes up. Eagleville, Huntland, Community, and Fayetteville have all shown flashes, should be a fun tournament!
  13. Forrest has rallied 5 straight wins after losing their season opener to Summertown. I think it's a safe bet to to say they along with Summertown will be in the mix come season's end.
  14. I don't think anyone is disagreeing that Parker wasn't an outstanding baseball coach. He left Forrest on his own accord and personally I wish him the best of luck in the future. As for the current state of the team, I don't know many details as to what happened to Coach Nave. The only thing I've heard is that Coach Joyce is stepping in until the Middle School season is over, and then Joyce and Coach Burkett will work with the current assistant coaches on staff. Both Joyce and Burkett were members of successful baseball teams at Forrest, and from what I've heard, Burkett has been great with the Middle School team. They both have a surplus of baseball knowledge and the boys should be able to benefit from both of them.
