Little league still gets to practice outside in it

I think Oak Ridge will be ok. SD didn't look very good other than 21, who obviously ran very well. But like dawgs said, play calling was pretty poor, and 14 was staring down receivers on every pass. What will the Wildcat offense be able to do though...?

I felt like #5 was forcing throws in there, assuming his wideouts were just gunna make the catch, which I guess I understand. The run game will need to get a lot better too. Didn't seem like much of a threat. I haven't seen AC at all but I think after seeing Powell last night, the Mavs should be able to hang better than what people think. Maybe not win, but keep it interesting.

Great point. For the better part of the last decade, with the previous two head coaches, they were either very pass heavy or very run heavy. Some balance is welcomed.

Clinton beat Jellico 21-7 and Grace 14-0 in the 5SP Jamboree at Carson Newman last night. I know Jellico isn't the best competition and I've heard Grace lost a lot, but it's still a good start for the normally lowly Dragons. We'll take what we can get. #3 and #68 took home some honors and recognition on top of having big days. #8 also had a good day.

Nah idk yet. I know it's 5SP running it. Hopefully we get some news on it tomorrow because I don't think anything has been said since it was announced.

I think we're gunna make it to CAK, for a few possessions anyway. Obviously wanna see how the starters do. Thought they looked pretty good against Morristown East. Gunna be a long two weeks to Willy B!

Man, what a game that was though.. There are more plans for the stadium in place apparently. Lots of work to be done. It deserves all the love it can get, with the high school, middle school, little league all playing games there, and the band hosting a competition every year.

Very true. Don't know why I didn't think of having it at the high school. I'll see what I can find out for sure. I'm definitely excited to see it too. We've got a really nice stadium set up and the turf will make it all look even nicer. But yeah the grass had a little charm, especially in time of everyone having turf. You're right about that mud though... Shew

I don't know. I drove by the stadium yesterday and it looked like they were spreading the gravel out and maybe finishing up drainage, you know it's kind of hard to see from Gilliam Street. But they could probably be done by the CAK scrimmage?

I've got July 31 against Mo East and Aug 6 against CAK.

I saw a Clemson Football bus parked at the Comfort Inn by Walmart on Friday. Anybody know what they had going on?

They better get started on it if they want it done before August. I have also heard the school system wants to buy the stadium and grounds from the city. Don't know how well that is going though..

I really enjoy going to Oak Ridge. Even for the kiddo's little league games. There's just something about Blankenship. Maryville is great and Heritage has that view. Clinton is my biased favorite but it really is a great place to watch a game, even if the product on the field isn't great.. All three of the schools in Anderson County have pretty nice stadiums to be honest.
