GB had a great season - NCS beat them in the final game! GB did not play well, but I still think NCS wins - Congrats to them and on to next year! Great group of seniors with a couple leaving the leadership and playing with "heart" vacant - going to have to work on that, too! love our Cherokees!

Let it go - they cancel each other out - just like we beat CA - we cancel them out - it is what it is - LET IT GO!

well, Kevin this is just my take - is 38 your age, former football # or your IQ - probably the latter since you made such a bold statement - anything can happen in a game! how do you know what the East teams are like - you haven't played them - just what do you base your (non-intellectual) knowledge on?

I have talked to the Silvey kid's dad several times and he said it was because Josh fit in at GB better than anywhere else he played - GB is a country school full of good ole country boys! Josh liked that very much - went to Loudon HS but never played ball there and didn't want to - he also did better in his grades at GB - GB is a special place and welcomes folks into the fold - but you won't be welcome long if you come in with an attitude - our kids are good at attitude adjustments - keep it real! G0 KEES! great season and have loved the posts this year- keep it up!

hey, i love it when you fellers talk dirty, but speaking of hogs, could you get back to talking "pigskin" - i would love to hear some true honest opinions on here! Predictions on the scores of the games between GB/Oneida and Harriman/Coalfield - also in both games which teams excel in the pass vs. run game and strongest defenses and why - anyone that takes it personal on here needs to get off the site - that is what it is for as long as it is kept clean - i for one love to hear analysis from you guys that obviously keep up with the games!

well, hope he stays injury free as well as the others and GB makes a run through the playoffs! just taking it week to week - Fri. should be a good chance to play the younger guys some more and get them game ready!

after watching Midway against GB tonight i wonder how in the world did they hang with Harriman for a half and even have the lead - and Harriman didn't dominate Oneida tonight - GB is in the driver's seat - all cylinders are clicking and the cream is rising to the top - GB should win out! Tn.Gridiron was in attendance at tonight's game between the Kees and G. Waves and they were very impressed with GB's talent overall - they were excited about the QB's play!

well, the game started off with SQ three and out and then GB passing down to the red zone - then SQ picked off a pass into the endzone - Silvey was doing his usual (getting into the backfield) game was postponed due to bad weather, but will resume tomorrow at noon at Cooper field. I know the offense of SQ will be having nightmares tonight with the #50 coming at them throughout their sleep (hope they toss and turn and wear themselves out) lol - looking forward to a good game tomorrow - may the best team win!

the two QB's are competitors - been watching the GB QB since he was 6 yrs. old - he is a baller and knows the game well - if our guys play well, we will come out with the win - Silvey is a beast and will be in the backfield all night long! our transfer RB is due a breakout game and I think he will have it! Coaching will be a key factor in this game and penalty free play! should have been the Rivalry game of the week this night!

GB moved the ball well against Alcoa in jamboree tonight! lost 14-0, but controversial call made at end of qtr.of play - GB scored but player was said to down knee before crossing plane - some ole football diehards positioned on the sidelines said the Greenback player scored and the camera man has it on film - but, anyway GB looked good on both sides of the ball - need to work on pass defense for sure!

Greenback played Alcoa's varsity for most of the qtr. ????? - lost 14-0 but moved the ball well against the tornadoes - they(Alcoa) beat Maryville the 1st qtr of play 7-0! The benefit of the jamboree is a platform for getting the players out there in front of a large crowd and pumping them up for the season - no need for critizing play or coaching! very proud of GB!
