  1. He had two goals, and one was in transition. Giving him that many assists would be pretty generous stat keeping
  2. McCallie and MBA split the series two years ago, and McCallie got the #1 because of total margin of victory even though they lost the second game
  3. MUS dominated the first half and held a 6-1 lead early in the 3rd quarter before McCallie went on their run.
  4. Farragut, Webb, USN, Ryan, Ravenwood, and obviously McCallie. Games start at 10 and end at 5
  5. Although it's quite obviously easier for McCallie to play teams from the Atlanta area, like you said, part of the strength of the schedule is taking the trip to play in North Carolina year in and year out as well as getting games against MIAA/IAC teams consistently. While location is a factor, MUS could/should take advantage of being much closer in proximity to quality teams from Texas. I realize it isn't that close, but the opportunity there is comparable to a drive to North Carolina from Chattanooga. And as far as the Disney trip, who all did MUS play there last year, and who are they planning to play this year?
  6. That got a chuckle out of me.
  7. Rabil is a fromer McCallie defenseman who went on to play at UNC. And Kapman it's Tornado(singular)...like the Stanford Cardinal
  8. T1,000. You left off an O. And put the 9th grade football kick off team kamikaze at attack, and you've got yourself 5'4" 180lbs of pain.
  9. First off, 6'2" 230, 6'3" 190, and 6' 190. Those are not small defensemen. And coincedentally, McCallie did have a middie that played running back. As for the 100% focus, we have plenty of guys that play multiple sports and even more that could but choose not to. One of the reasons I think we won was the overall athleticism of our team. However, you're right in saying that it takes more than athletes, but with solid coaching and participation, a program with better athletes should ultimately be the better team.
  10. And the sound of the clank shall haunt him for eternity
  11. During the semi-final game vs. MUS, I saw Caroland for MBA on the sideline in street clothes. I'm assuming he was injured, and I was wondering if anyone from MBA could elaborate on it.
  12. It was originally meant to be played Friday night, but due to weather, the game was rescheduled for Saturday morning.
  13. The winner of the McCallie/MBA game will be the #1 seed in the East region, and barring a freak loss to USN, MUS will be the #1 seed from the West. The loser of the McCallie/MBA game would most likely face USN in the quarterfinals with the winner playing MUS in the semis. On the other half of the bracket, Christian Brothers will probably meet the winner of the Webb/Farragut game, and the winner of that will play the winner of McCallie/MBA.
  14. I'm not sure if the divisional gap is closing that quickly, but Ravenwood definitely has a solid team this year. They are capable of competing with anybody in state.
  15. I only care about one matchup. William Spangler vs. whoever the unfortunate baylor player is.
  16. I'd really like to have another shot at McCallie. They had one defender, #17, who was a complete jerk. The whole game he said derogatory things about my family under his breath. I can't wait for the state tourney.
  17. Those three are definitely below Rainer, Taylor, Hansen, and the Webb goalie at least. The only way in which that might be the case is if you completely exclude D1.
  18. It's really great to see some southern teams et some recognition. Down here we know that some boys can play, but hopefully the rest of the lacrosse community is taking note. The only difference is that the kids up north have generally had a stick in their hands most of their lives.
  19. Well, I know when I've been proven wrong, so I admit that I underestimated CBHS. I'm not sure what this will mean for the rest of the year, but things are certainly looking more interesting.
  20. I don't know anything about the games themselves, but of the three teams that they beat, two are below .500. The other is a decent Georgia team but not of the caliber of Lassiter, Lovett, Westminster, or Pace. I'm not trying to take anything away from them, but I don't think three wins against mediocre Georgia teams necessarily means a program transformation. They've always been a solid team but will probably find themselves 2nd in the West again and on the losing end of their game against McCallie or MBA in the tournament.
  21. The M is probably to indicate his team(MBA), and as for caroland, apparently not.

    Update

I'm not sure exactly, but it was severe enough to require surgery and him missing the season.

    Update

Clint Brakebill was injured in the preseason, and is redshirting this year because of it. On a side note, Binz Hansen's younger brother, Kyle, is the current McCallie goalie.
