Resignation papers were signed last week, as was posted here. I suppose some posters need confirmation from their grandsons first before believing. Anyway, just unfortunate news all around. Coach Harig is a good HC & will have a successful future. I think Knox West has a bright future too. It's sad, but I don't think Harig ever had a chance at West because of the circumstances. I wish Coach Harig the best in the future as well as the current coaches & players at West.

Because ultimately no one wants to deal with the nonsense & drama at Carter. Just isn't worth it. I'm surprised he stayed as long as he did. But I wouldn't doubt him going back to be an assistant coach at Fulton. His son still coaches there so I think that is definitely an option.

Yes. I've heard the same. It's a shame it didn't work out. For whatever reason I don't think the relationship worked. I think Coach Harig is a good guy & a good coach. Hopefully both parties find what they are looking for & are successful in the future.

Great to hear from you JM. I really miss being around the team, but I can't say I miss being inside that school building. I'm glad to see the team has still been successful. I hope you're doing well too buddy.

Harig is a good coach. The DC is a good coach. I don't think the staff is the problem this season. I think the talent is a bit down on the team & once again they've been decimated by injuries. At least from what I hear. It isn't the coaches' fault that Knox West's best overall player was kicked out of school a few weeks before the season started. It also isn't their fault Romines & Jefferson are injured. I understand why the fans are feeling frustrated, particularly about the offense, but at this point I think the team is just doing the best with the options they currently have.

Nevermind. Knox West needs to get healthy ASAP. The Rebels are better than they're playing. Knox West will fix this if/when they get Romines back. Hopefully that happens soon.

I believe the other player was Conner Blocker. He might have went to Heritage High though. Not sure. Thanks for the answers though.

I have a question for the WBHS or WBMS fans on CoachT. WBMS had several really good football players on their team 2 years ago (2014 season). Danny Mejia, Kaleb Sugden, Blocker, Burkhardt, etc. There were several others, but I can't remember their names. Does anyone know if these kids are still playing now? Should be sophomores or freshman in HS now. Did they stay with WBHS? Did they end up landing at any of the other BC schools? Just curious. Thanks.

Zach Stokes is a monster. He is only a junior, but there aren't any OL in East Tennessee that can block him consistently. He can be as good as he chooses to be. Harig & Lane are two of the best coaches in the state. Knox West should have a good team this season. Interested to see how they do this year. Maryville Rebels are still the King though. Go Rebels!
