Possibly. If they can talk the coach out of playing that lazy zone. Or let the assistant coach tonight. AAA is AAA though. Especially when you look at rebuilding. Freshmen have potential but we will have to see if they have anyone with knowledge enough to develop them to next level. Being in basketball shape is the main key factor in the downward slide. Led every district team or tied at half just to lose in 4th. Got to be committed to being in shape.

Since you know this, I assume you saw that they played mostly AAA teams the whole first half of the season? That plus being young and poorly coached. But everyone has to rebuild at some point. I just hope they go a new direction that will give those girls a fighting chance.

I predict an upset.

There are many to blame for this team. This community has never supported these girls. They have always been thrown to the side by the previous 2 coaches. And yes Slatten was one of those. Then you had an AAU coach that cared more about developing other kids from different communities before MC’s own. They needed a coach that knows how to develop them. But if you’ve been around for awhile you’d know the hand they were dealt was pretty poor. They beat better teams in summer camp with the assistant coach that is on the bench right now.

Ain’t no y’all to it. School board controls these things. The hiring of Horton should show you where this program is headed.

I implied nothing about enthusiasm. I implied that if I had a daughter I wouldn’t risk her status unless it was for a big time opportunity. And I never mentioned CC. Success usually brings school spirit no matter the size.

There are many factors that have played into this season. Not excuses, just facts. Have you seen the schedule these girls inherited ? All 2A and 3A teams the first half of the season. 12 games to start the year and winning 2 of those. So of the 14 losses, 10 were to bigger schools in a rebuilding year. So how much of a positive situation have they been given? Nobody wanted the job? I call B.S.

I might could understand if we were talking about a top notch ball program but it’s still just tullahoma. Not Riverdale, not Blackman, but Tullahoma. But like I said, she is a great kid.

Moore County was up by as many as 10 for majority of game against Cascade, then they had some personnel issues.

Who will ever be the right answer if you can’t get the right kids to play? I know FC has bigger and faster kids walking those halls. It takes a special player to play for Mac. You may not like him but I promise you, you will respect him. I’d coach with him in a red hot minute for free.

No. It's at Moore County's gym. It will be an electric crowd and a packed house, which doesn't take too many to achieve that.

Moore County will be easily outcoached.

Never say never. Upperman is a good team but MC also had a bad night. They will be ready when it matters. They don't give away trophies at the first of the year.

Yeah how lucky is the new Region4a to have to go east in sub-state. Now they will have to get through Clarkrange and Pickett Co. among others.

Who was Summertown missing?
