Coalfield is going to have to rely on their D early on this year but I still think they should win this one by 3 touchdowns.

I think coalfield will get a lot better as the year goes on. Right now they are still working through some growing pains with the new offense but I think by playoff time it will give their best chance of making a run.

If this game were played later in the year I would take Coalfield but I don’t think they have enough experience yet to go 4qtrs with a physical York team. I’ll take York by 13

From what I heard they looked pretty good for the first scrimmage. A couple turnovers but also forced a couple on defense. Should be an interesting year and I think 2nd in the region is where they will finish.

Was a horrible ending to a really good basketball game. Both player technicals were ridiculous calls. I think the one on the Coalfield kid was a make up for the previous bad technical call on NG. The second one on Coalfield was for an assistant coach standing up trying to call timeout. The refs helped determine the outcome of the ballgame and that could’ve been said by either coalfield or NG fans depending on who won. Props to the NG kid for knocking down some clutch FTs though.

He was really missed on D. The long TD pass that started the GB rally is picked off by him if he's at safety. Coalfield has to do some soul searching because they got physically manhandled in the second half.

Coalfield will not be tested until Marion county visits in week 6. The key for coalfield is just staying healthy these first few weeks.

Coalfield is the favorite in the east this year. Might as well own it and have the expectations for it.

From what I've heard it went about like you'd expect the first scrimmage to. Tackling wasn't great and offensively just have to get the timing down.

The key for Coalfield will be staying healthy. As long they stay healthy I think they are one of the favorites to be in cookeville but a couple of injuries could derail their season.
