The only way a best of 3 series makes sense for Regional Championships is if you do away with sub-state and only have the regional champions advance to state.

Jefferson County will travel to Kingsport on Wednesday to face Dobyns-Bennett in the Region 1AAA Championship Game. Jefferson County beat District 1AAA runner-up Tennessee High 3-1 while Dobyns-Bennett beat District 2AAA runner-up Morristown East 8-2. The winner will host the loser of the Region 2AAA Championship Game between Farragut and Maryville. The loser will to travel to the Region 2AAA champions.

Jefferson County defeats Morristown East 7-3 in the District 2AAA Championship Game. The Patriots will host Tennessee High on Monday night while the Hurricanes will travel to Dobyns-Bennett.

Apparently, one of the South Doyle parents took exception to the Cherokee pitcher hitting 3 batters in a row. She yelled out that he did it on purpose which caused one of the Cherokee parents to tell her to STFU which caused her husband to go after him. Somehow, another woman got caught up in the mix and got knocked over, hitting her hear on the metal railing or on the concrete bleachers. She had to be taken to the hospital. The game was stopped for about 40 minutes. I don't know if anyone was arrested. South Doyle went on to win 23-13 in 6 innings after trailing 13-10 going into the bottom of the 6th.

I don't know any details but apparently, a fight broke out in the stands tonight during the Cherokee vs. South Doyle elimination game at Jefferson County High School. I was told that an innocent bystander got hurt and they had to call an ambulance. The game was stopped for a while.

GCA does have a very nice facility although I wish the 3rd base dugout was pushed back. I'm kind of partial to Jefferson County's field.

I think that is correct. I believe Spencer Riley at Jefferson County is working toward his certification.

#13 is a big target although I thought we covered him pretty well.

Blackman's running game is good. #33 is a stud and the QB is pretty quick as well. I was not that impressed with their passing game.

It's all good. I think it ought to be a pretty good game if Copeland is back.

Not saying that it would have made any difference but we were missing several starters as well.

Ouch! That hurt. LOL! We gave up too many big plays to #33.

And have been for several weeks. Also have kids playing out of position to fill holes.

Jeff County will be without some key players on defense. It will take a great effort to keep this game close.

Sound just like Jefferson County tonight. We kept finding new ways to shoot ourselves in the foot.
