From what I can tell they have just over 90. That means they have 1 player out of every 13 kids which is right at 8 for every 100 and 16 for that 200 more than Tullahoma. I would say that makes a big difference.
Also it would be interesting to see were the numbers rank for the state champions in each class. I would guess there are very few if any that have numbers in the lower half of their classifications.
On average schools get about 8-10 players for every 100 kids. So 200 more kids would equal 16-20 more kids on the team. So I would say yes that does make a difference.
I also think comparing any team to the Alicia's or Maryvilles is not a valid comparison. Especially when open zoning comes in to play.
I think Nolensville ends Tullahoma season Friday. Hard to beat a team twice and Nolensville is reaping the success of having so many more kids than other 4A schools. Don't get me wrong. I hope T wins and it is great to see a school that suffered through an 0-10 season stay with their coach and now reap the rewards.
When is West Ridge going to be competing and isn't there a new private school in that area? I thought I read about one opening up. If so is that hurting SC?
I am very surprised that Fairview lost. I thought this was their year to make a deep run. Did something happen? I know 22 was hurt but when I saw them play early In the season I thought they had a lot more than him.
Both these teams lucked out getting to play each other. I know Nolensville beat Marshall but I think Tullahoma and Marshall are better than both these teams. But hey that is why they play the regular season. With 500 more kids Nolensville should win
Sportsguy22 Glad to see you back!! We were hoping you would cool down and return.
At this point I don't think it really matters who did what, when, or where. The decision has been been made. Time for basketball
Common sense would tell you that since Shelbyville got fined more then they had a few more come off the bench than what 22 was saying. From what I saw in that one game Shelbyville pushed that line of dirty IMO.
I also do not think the TSSAA can hold a decision on the appeal till next week. That would be completely unfair to the teams that had nothing to do with this.
